This Hot97 reality show might be the worst thing I've ever seen

I caught a few minutes of it. At first, I wasn't feeling the whole idea. But after watching some of it, it kinda grew on me a lil bit. Just like I'm a fan of laugh out gut busting comedy (ie Martin, Def Comedy Jam) I'm also a fan of satirical dry humor (like the Office or 30 rock) and this Hot 97 show is trying to have the same theme as that. So I get what its trying to do from that stand point. It's suppose to be a satirical parody of reality shows (which isn't reality to begin with)

I know all reality TV is scripted but this takes the cake. It was damn near like watching the Office. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a rehearsal beforehand

i like it

lol @ people talking about "it's so scripted!! it sucks!"

uhh, it's clear that its scripted, or at the least they're given the direction of where each scene should go, it's purposefully like this, it's a mockery of reality tv shows.
even if thats the case...its still horrible.
Why would anyone watch DJ's in a mockumentary?
none of them have a personality that can hold it down.

Hot 97 needs a young personality makeover....too many old heads involved in a young crowds genre.
I kinda agree but if you look at their playlist it reads like

Rick Ross-38
Nicki Minaj-31
Kanye West-37
Lil Wayne-32
2Chainz-37
Young Jeezy-36
Jay-Z-48

How much of a youth driven genre is mainstream hip hop really in 2014?

Everyone u posted is a Universal artist. As long as Universal is paying for all the airtime which doesnt allow for young Independent artists to compete then the playlist will always be skewed.

Ross is 38?

I'm more bugged that Nikki is 31
