This is perfect!!!! I like my privacy. The neighbors are close but far away to leave me alone. That first house is too close to the other ones and that golf course means too much foot traffic.

Yeah, if I’m paying more than 1.5 for a house I don’t want to be able to see my neighbors house from my house.

Depending on what’s covered and the age/condition of the building that is actually pretty cheap in a big city. For the most part the assessment will cover utilities, cable/internet, access to amenities (gym), and pay for security/doorman and repairs for the building. Think about how much you spend for that shyt already.

In Chicago 1K+ a month even for units worth far less than 850K is very common. At some of the older buildings in otherwise desirable neighborhoods like Hyde Park, your monthly assessment will, not might, be more than your mortgage.

PS...house in OP is ugly as fukk. Can’t believe how much ppl pay for these shytty building kit McMansions. Zero style. Cheap construction. More house than what 99.999% of people actually need. Throwing money down the toilet for upkeep. Disgusting.

Its funny how your money will stretch much further in the smaller rural areas and the suburbs than in the metro areas.

Another reason why I say yall can have that city life.

I was just curious and looking at real estate in the Cali area around LA and homes they have going for 500K there would be low end investments properties I could probably get for 40K here. Ish is crazy.

Dont forget about property taxes :to:

So even if you own the condo outright you are probably paying $2K/mo just to keep it :mindblown:

I can't speak on this house' styling/construction but I could def make use of all its space. 5 bedrooms makes sense for a family with kids that has overnight guests. Right now I have a gym in my house, I do a bit of woodwork and music production, wifey records voiceovers and does a lot of video editing.... our place now is like 3500 sq ft, we could easily legitimately use another 1000 sqft no problem. Is it more than we need? Of course, but we can afford it :yeshrug: I still regret not buying a house with a basement as that would have been perfect

Ok. I was confused. I assumed when he said monthly maintenance that covered basic maintenance for the building. lol Now that you broke it down that makes more sense. :ohhh:

I love a Spanish tile roof on a house.

If you are any type of man that's able to do construction yourself, you can lower the price even more most places in the South.
