Its funny how your money will stretch much further in the smaller rural areas and the suburbs than in the metro areas.

Another reason why I say yall can have that city life.

I was just curious and looking at real estate in the Cali area around LA and homes they have going for 500K there would be low end investments properties I could probably get for 40K here. Ish is crazy.

slightly OT but just for fun I looked @ some houses in london between £300-400k and jeezus christ that shyt was depressing smh

The problem with these modern homes is that developers depend on volume to make money. That means all of the fixtures/building materials etc are usually of a lower/cheaper grade. Lots of short cuts will be taken and the house will start showing its age in 5 yrs.

Myself. fukk 12(1)!
That house is ugly as hell. The interior isn't much better (I don't like that overly wrought, "columns everywhere" style that exploded in the 90s).

maybe it’s because I grew up in a big city, but i find these excessively large houses extremely tacky and gaudy.

minimalist/architecturally sleek modern design is the way to go going forward. i live in a 1br luxury apt and would take that anyway over these mcmansion monstrosities you see all too often in the midwest/south.

an nyc or chicago brownstone >>> this trash
