Thread has me dyingIt's tough love, B.
You know how many deluded minority teenagers he came across in Chicago as a community organizer?
Everybody thinking they gonna be the next Mugsy Bogues?
Hit the books, kid.

Man I got a lil cousin who is a junior in high school and can't make the varsity basketball team. Peep this though, he had to lie about his age to play on a rec team with the younger kids. I called him the other day and he said he didn't make the starting 5 on the lil kid rec team. He then goes on to say he is going to keep practicing because when he gradates HS, he is gonna play basketball internationally. No mention of college, he STILL thinks he can play pro ball. It's tough love, B.

the entire time.As they should have. Focus on that science instead ofLets you know the kids parents forced him to be there

My mom did the same with my brother. He thought he was going to get a career in football....she shut that ish real quick . He is now studying urban planning at school! That kid should develop another hobby....get into computer science or something.
While all those other kids get that reality check at 24 that sports isn't a viable career path...he could be at Google or something raking in like 70 grand, not breaking a sweat.
...and still playing basketball for fun with those nerdy ass coworkers. I'm pretty sure Google would have a court on the premises.

Or it could be a good story of his an engineer. The point is to direct the child where he can reach his full potential...only americans fall for that dream bs!!!This gonna make a good story in 7 years if that kid is a basketball phenomenon
Well football is another story for me.My mom did the same with my brother. He thought he ead going to get a career in football....she shut that ish real quick . He is now studying urban planning at school!
And I didn't entertain it either....we are really direct/no sugarcoating on family to the point that the ish hurts. But it is for our best interest.
People need to grow a backbone...I am sure hes heard worst by his family members.
