I came in to argue a point but you are all mostly right

I'll stick to just production shyt... he is basically just a dude who takes dumb ass people (IE Metallica, Beasties, Jay-z, Kanye) not dumb in a sense every single time they record mind you....

he basically just shows them... "Look, the key part of this song is the drums... we are gonna turn your bass way low in the mix and muddy the vocals to bring out the part of the song that's actually the hit"

Metallica "fell off"
Kanye wanted "a sparse futuristic quality to yeezus"
Jay wanted "hiphop royalty and guidance" for his "retirement album"
Beasties were all over the place with sound and placements
Rick just cuts through the mess and organizes

If this is true why didn’t we know this earlier? I don’t give af about him either way
Information was much easier to suppress and clearly didn’t fit with the prevailing narrative that he was a reclusive genius behind some important hiphop artists. Disappointing from that perspective but entirely believable. The hell with him.

Dej Jam records was an Israeli operation from jump.

The Rubins found a fakkit junkie they could control to walk them into the hip hop world, the Cohens (the bosses) came in when money started to flow to make sure it flowed where it was supposed to, they discarded the junkie when he was no longer useful, then ruined his life so he could never have generational wealth from the arrangement, as that would go against the Talmud.

he produced that whole album and that has some of my favorite rhcp songs

Oh you talkin' about producing. Then yeah. He got them Junkies into the right state of mind to give the pedophile enough meat to make catchy/nonsensical songs for the most part, no doubt. BSSM would have sound way different if he weren't there to hone all that raw emotion they had into the classic that it is today. I thought it was something else in regards to him and them.
Also, I can't see the vids since are "Not available" due to the silly region restrictions and such, but I hope you have Venice Queen up there and not that godawful Hump-De-Bump song.
:pacspit:
Couldn't defend the peppers with that clanger there, like at all. Venice queen however, is one of their best songs (in my opinion) and runs with any era of their various sounds.
