Cause KG was a perennial loser without Pierce, Allen, Rondo, and Doc Rivers. :mjpls:

That 2007 team needed Dirk to carry the offensive load. KG comes in and gets rebounds and plays defense and they only get 80 points an entire game = a lot more than 15 losses.

KG did just fine with Cassell and Sprewell. KG won a ring long before DIrk.

MOre to the topic at hand though - That's all you have? DIrk carried the offensive load?

In 2006-2007, KG averaged 22.4 ppg, 12.8 rpg, 4.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks.

Dirk? He averaged 24.6, 8.9 rpg, 3.4 assists, .7 steals, .8 blocks.

:ooh:

Yep, that's a loss of 27 games right there. Because KG wasn't the offensive focal point of the twolves back then.

:ohhh:

I mean, you're saying that Eric Dampier was one of the best Centers in 2006 and you're trying to be taken seriously in a discussion regarding basketball?

:what:

You realize that Avery started giving Dampier's minutes to Desagana Diop towards the end of that playoff run, right? Nah, you don't cause you were probably stroking it to your KG poster :russ:

Diop was the guy playing defense on Duncan in the OT of Game 7 vs. the Spurs in the Western Conference Semifinals that year. Not Dampier. Dampier had 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 fouls in 25 minutes that game...

You stay losing.

A.19.6 PPG, 11.1 Reb, 3.8 AST/2.5 TOV, .52 TS%, 1.3 STL, 1.4 BLK

B:
19.7 PPG, 11.3 Reb, 2.3 AST,.51TS%, 1.8 STL, 1.3 Blks

A is Kevin Garnett's career playoff numbers as a starter through 2012
B is Dirk Nowitski's numbers in his worst playoff year ever 2007

:laff: These guys are in completely different tiers as playoff performers. The problem with KG is that hes not the best offensive anchor in the playoffs you'd like to have because he combines mediocre and flat out terrible efficiency(Like Iverson bad and especially bad for a big man) with relatively low volume scoring for a first option. And it's not like he's a guy who can get you 30-35-40 when needed, he's had only 9 30 point playoff games his entire career and never 40. To put that in perspective Dirk had more 30 point playoff games during the 11' Playoffs then KG had his entire Career

Classic case of moving the goalposts. Now you trying to disprove a point that was made in jest. :deadrose:

You can't even defend your moot KG > Dirk argument after what I said, so now you're moving onto making Serious Discussion about Sarcastic Comments.

Just stop, and take your L.

Moving the goalposts? Do you even know what that means?

YOu are the one now requalifying your comment as "jest" I could take ALL of your posts as nothing but a joke. I gave you a chance to support your comment, YOU TRIED, I provided contrary facts, now you you were joking?

That's called LOSING. You've backed off your own assertion, one that you TRIED TO PROVE.

Shaq - True
Chandler - Anachronistic thinking, nobody rated Chandler that high in this time period.

Ben Wallace - was already downhill.
Yao Ming - only when healthy
Illgauskas - only when healthy
Camby - :dahell:
Bogut - He wasn't that good his first three years
Okafor - :dahell:
Biedrins - Had one decent year his entire career.
Dalembert - no
Kaman - equivalent

were ALL better during this time period...

and im sure theres a bunch more i cant remember at the moment... :deadrose: @ the thought of Dampier ever being best of anything...

:pacspit: @ your horrible posting

it's not my fault the NBA center situation is such crap. Why do you think Cuban gave Dampier that contract in the first place? Personally, I was glad when the bytch left the warriors.

We got 2-3 pages of people shytting on you. :ooh:

You stay having sand in your vagina over a sarcastic comment. In fact, I said they "MIGHT have not won 40 games." If you paid more attention in school, you'd see that qualifies as a possibility, not a guarantee.:patrice:

But seriously, how do you ignore the past 20 posts calling you out? The fact you want to argue one sentence I said and conveniently ignore the last page and a half is some bytchmade shyt.

Start quoting everybody who's laughing at you. Start refuting the discussion at hand, which is Dirk >>> KG. Maybe then you'll have a legit case.

Until then, shut the fukk up.

So he goes from being the "best center in the NBA" to you being glad he left the Warriors? :dwillhuh:

Like I care. Just because there are more retards out there like you doesn't mean you are in any way correct. Truth is not democratically decided.

On the other hand, you are a fukkin joke. YOu make an assertion, try to prove it, fail miserably, then you claim you were joking.

So now that you failed at your one assigned task, you are backtracking, throwing out inapplicable qualifications (moving the goalposts?) and claiming :umad:.

You are a fukkin idiot. YOu honestly are. YOu claimed KG on the 2007 mavs would have resulted in a 40-42 record. THIS WAS YOUR ASSERTION. :what:

This is one of the worst posts I've ever read on The Coli. :pacspit:

Oh, you mean in 2007 in the 1st round when he averaged 19.7PPG and 11.3RBG?

Or are you talking about the 2006 Finals where he averaged 22.8PPG and 10.8RBG?

You're trying to shyt on Dirk for coming up short in the Finals? Is that a joke? Kevin Garnett couldn't even get to the Finals without Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Kendrick Perkins, and Doc Rivers. :dwillhuh::dahell::childplease::scusthov:

Those years Dirk was getting "shut down," what in the fukk was KG doing? If you want to use 2007, fine. But even in 2006, Dirk carried his squad against the Spurs and Suns. Dude dropped 50-10 in a WCF game. Something KG hasn't even sniffed...

No, seriously, where the fukk was KG during ANY of this? Please tell me when KG DIDN'T come up short in the playoffs. Please tell me when KG's amazing defense and "close offensive productivity" ever did shyt for him before he got to play with 3 All-Stars.

Here, let me educate you.

LETS NOT FORGET DIRK'S PLAYOFF NUMBERS ARE ON ANOTHER LEVEL COMPARED TO THIS COMPLIMENTARY PLAYER KG The numbers Dirk put up in his WORST year (2007) are still better then several of Garnett's years...

Dirk's Defensive Rebounds: 8.7 per game
KG's Defensive Rebounds: 8.8 per game
Dirk doesn't get offensive boards because he's having to carry his team's offensive load by shooting the ball from anywhere out to 25 feet. Meanwhile, KG can stand at the basket while Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, or Rajon Rondo go to work. :ohhh:

If you watched KG in his prime, you saw a player CONSTANTLY getting shyt on by Duncan and Dirk, both on a team and individual level Fact of the matter is all the KG supporters are the ones caught up in nonsense. The dumbass belief that 1 man's superior defense has any real tangible value on winning games and achieving the highest level of accomplishments in the NBA. Did you see the 2006 Finals? Did you see Jordan play? Did you see some of Kobe's ridiculous games? Offensive output and efficiency is FAAAAR more valuable than any dude playing strong defense. And the fact Dirk grabs just as many defensive rebounds and both spaces the floor and creates open shots and easy opportunities for his teammates makes him ridiculously more valuable than KG. Dirk + Tyson >>>> KG + scorer (he had multiple 18+ PPG scorers throughout his career, but you probably wouldn't know that.)
