No way.

This is just inaccurate.

Game is the best it's been in 15 years.

Detroit hustler muzik
Memphis rap
DFW/H-town rap
Brooklyn/Bronx Drill
Upstate NY griselda/trust
Female rappers taking over

That's all excluding ATL...NorCal...SoCal... Jacksonville...Chicago...Baton Rouge...NOLA..

Nas...Jada...Lupe...Pusha...Hov...all still delivering memorable shyt.

Verzuz?!?!?!?!

You not a fan of rap if you feel this way imho.
I’ll say it again, with the amount of music that comes out on a weekly basis in the streaming era, there’s no excuse to not find something you like. And if that isn’t the case, then you may simply need to move on to a different genre.

Now if you’re strictly a person that only listens to music from people like 23 and under and want to hear something really dope, then you’re probably shyt out of luck.

there's just not anybody out there that brings the charismatic energy on the might or anyone with their style

there hasn't even been a Nelly or 50 Cent type to come with a straight impact to have the whole country going crazy.

"Underground" is trash too lol just bunch try hard wannabe nihilistic fake artsy mfs.

Plenty of dope underground artists and if you honestly, really want to hear some new creative shyt then venture out into Hip Hop from other countries. Even if you only stick with English speaking countries like Australia or the UK. Both have a straight up Hip Hop scene as well as the drill, grime and all that too. Other countries too, I haven’t tried but I bet there’s a gang of dope African artist who spit in English, New Zealand has always been good, etc etc.

I disagree, sure it’s plenty of stuff dropping every week but how much of it is actually good? For instance I can probably find and listen to some music that I like in comparison to the rest that’s dropping but it’s almost like settling for mediocrity.

For example, some of my favorite artists dropped last year, Pusha, Kendrick, Big Krit and they were solid, But those albums arent close to best work and none of them are better than their previous album. Something about post Covid rap just seems to be a little lifeless. I haven’t heard any fresh or new production or beats or any type of new energy, there hasn’t been anything that has dropped in the last 4 months or so that made me want to run it back consistently. I agree the game is stale right now, there is nothing coming out that I’ve heard about this year I’m looking forward to
