Guys had weights in the yard, working on cars, driving down streets hunting for chicks, etc etc

Im seeing 20,25 year olds looking like 12 year olds all 5’5, 120 pounds and got the nerve to talk shyt

A 34yr old back then been married for 15yrs and had a kid starting college. That man been raising a family for almost 2 decades.

Studied have already shown that recent generations have extended our adolescence compared to previous ones. We’ve also put off starting families, moving out, staying at home longer, needing to be in school longer, interests remained youthful longer etc. so this is no surprise.

I saw a family portrait when I was basically the same age as my dad when he took it. I was 3 or 4 in the photo and my dad was 32. I was 32 when I saw it and that nikka looked like he could be my father still at that moment.

On some Cuba Gooding Jr/Lawrence Fishburne shyt.

A time where 30 year old were grown men with several kids and a mortgage.

Now we play videogames and wear sweat pants to the Thanksgiving dinner.

Yeah, nikka. That's because a 30 year old was making a living wage and could AFFORD a family on one income or one income and your wife working part time or some shyt.

Don't blame the culture, blame the system.

Blame the individual. It’s way easier to attain a lot of money and a home now, compared to back then as a Black 30 year old man.

Even athletes used to make being 30 feel old as fukk, like Drexler left Portland at 32 and felt old as fukk :mjlol:

That's like Giannis leaving today. But back then you were like damn he's still going at his age :whew:

Every economic study and data would disagree. It’s def not easier to own a home that’s a wild statement. I’m a homeowner btw
Yeah I’m a home owner also and IMO it’s easier to get a high paying job now as opposed to the 70’s and 80’s. You must not be Black, I’m talking about Black people, not America.

Looking at pics of my mom and dad back then I said the same thing.

It’s like you had to be grown/more mature earlier back then. Has society babied us or has things just gotten more lax?:jbhmm:

It was like once you hit 30 life got real serious. Now, at 30 you’re less mature than back then. Interesting…
Both. Although things are obviously getting turbulent again...

The consumer culture that really went full swing in the 80's also contributed to it. Now you can make a living selling content that keeps people infantilized and also survive at the bare minimum while consuming bullshyt.

The food is worse quality now but I'm almost certain I ate better in regards to calories in the 90s than my Father, Mother or older family members did which is why I'm taller than all of them lol. Now child hunger is getting worse so their height is starting to drop.
