Russo's matches were the most UN-realistic pieces of garbage I have ever seen.![]()

So the casual viewer woulda likened him to Shawn Michaels then, no?![]()

There a few ways to have Balor beat Big Show..now if he has his crew, a faction like the Club, then it's REALLY easy to book it. But if you want him to be face and do it man to man..and you had been booking Show as dominant instead of as a clown, the whole "never say die" face routine would work. Hogan beat Andre the fukking GiantYou can have a guy like Big Show lose to someone like Balor, but it has to be done correctly. Book it like Reigns/Lesnar at WM31, Big Show dominates early, throwing him around. Balor busts him open () then slowly gets a bit more offense, a bit more, finally takes him down, beats him on the ground, Big Show fights back, Balor takes him down again and finally gets the win. A great match where Balor overcomes the Big Show in a believable fashion.

I mean..that's how this whole thing kicked off

One thing is for certain, by having Balor come to Raw and beat the guy who won the main event of WM 32, a match where Cripple H lost to his favorite pet projtect Roman? Well..they definitely want Balor to matter and matter big. They never gave Shelton or even Lesnar that kind of opening rub.I think Russo was 90% spot on to be honest especially about that corny ass New Day shyt , Superkick spamfest and the lack of hype for Enzo and Cass. Balor going over everyone is obviously a statement that he's gonna be the guy so I get it.

Even then...they promoted it BIG TIME for the Rock match. They used Hogan, in the original Austin spot, they wanted to make Lesnar look strong. He was getting Goldberg chants and all of that shyt and that's why Austin walked out..he didn't want to lose to a guy that just debuted 3 months earlier without proper building for a PPV payoff. Basically he thought he was too big a star to seem like another guy losing to buffer a guy up for a PPV main event(Rock at Summerslam). Lesnar beat Rock 5 months after his debut in a back and forth legit title match. Balor beat the winner of WM 32 on his FIRST match on WWE TVWell with Lesnar, it wasn't his first two main roster matches but he did beat Hogan and Rock in Summer '02, don't how anyone can have a better rookie resume than that.
And will be part of the Summerslam Triple Main Event. 5 months of building compared to 1 night is pretty buck wild. Of course Lesnar going over Rock and Taker is what LEGITIMIZED him from that point forward but Balor has already earned the fans' respect on the NXT/website stuff anyway.Super kicks are the new craze. There's at least 5 in every match now, none of which are devastating enough to put an opponent away. Ask your buddy to kick you square in the face tomorrow, and let's see how quickly you get back up.
I've been saying this for months now, it's legit one of the worst things at the moment, Ziggler/Uso's/Owens just spam that move into oblivion![]()
No, you knew who Shawn Michaels was. He had character, he had personality, he talked. His theme song is called sexy boy.So the casual viewer woulda likened him to Shawn Michaels then, no?![]()
Shawn wasn't anywhere near as over on his debut though and when he turned heel with that similar jacket Balor was wearing, he wasn't really over either. Just in case you forgot...No, you knew who Shawn Michaels was. He had character, he had personality, he talked. His theme song is called sexy boy.
Balor looked like a regular dude. His go to move was tugging on his jacket for god sakes. Guy had no energy or superstar qualities whatsoever.
