If you want your own freedom a roomate is a good alternative if you know the other person well enough. Always make sure rent is cheap enough you could afford it on your own for a few months if you had too. Until you can get another roomate if your current cant get it together.


The reason people see this as bad,is because its usually the unmotivated people without drive who live at home and have roomates. But that doesnt have to be the rule

I didn't grow up with a two parent household, I did luck up to audition my way into some magnet schools, I didn't go to college for 2 years after high school because I was working 2 full time jobs trying to have two pennies to rub together. When I did go to college (the first time) it was a community college while working a full-time job just get an associates degree and when I got a career job I was living in a very sketchy area so broke I was trying to figure out whether to pay for my Rx or keep the water on.
