I'd say 24-25 but 27 max to cover most circumstances.

25 is old enough to have your masters (if you wanted/needed) or plenty of job experience and some sort of trade/degree that allows you to feed, clothe, and shelter yourself. It's old enough to be beyond excuses for bxtch boy behavior (ex. having a rough childhood ain't an excuse for self sabotaging behavior anymore). Its old enough to have the life experience required to start and lead a family. I can't say what type of career someone should have other than at 25:
- You have a strong talent/capability with that skillset
- That skillset should be highly marketable with a strong future for financial growth
- That career/talent/skill should be easily monetized without requiring an upfront cash investment that is greater than the amount you can expect to make in your first 2 years in the skill/talent/career

I would literally live in my car before paying $1940 a month for an apartment if it’s taking up more than half my take home pay. And would have about $20,000 in the bank at the end of the year. Then invest half of it.
