$150k a minute? :what:

There are 1440 minutes in a day. He could double the salary of every worker not in C-suite at Amazon and not lose a bit of sleep. Or money. It probably cheaper to do that than divorce his wife. :what:

He doesn't actually make that much per minute. God damn get some basic financial sense.

The billionaire isn't "raping" anyone. It's a job. One that he and everyone else who works there voluntarily chose. No one is holding a gun to his head to work there for $16 an hour.

I'm willing to bet 98% of people in this thread shop at Amazon regularly. Enlarging Jeffs pockets but complaining about his business on behalf on people they’ve never met.

I need communists of the coli to come up with a new angle. This ain't it.

Someone with a clue.

All these skilled/unskilled and "if you're an grown adult working at (insert job here) you failed" talks always makes me chuckle.

The (harsh) reality is that most people in life don't have any real talents/skills that can be used to make money. And that's ok. In a capitalist society, you need people like that. Not everyone can be rich or well off. But it doesn't mean they're failures or don't deserve to make enough to live off. Regardless of what you do, you deserve enough to meet the absolute necessities.

But then again I'm convinced half the population thinks that homelessness is a choice, so it's a futile argument :manny:

Amazon work is way, way harder than flipping burgers. You work at Amazon and you will be putting in WORK:hubie:

Grown folks shouldn't be working at mcdonald's anyway. That's a teenager job
Both jobs hard, but dude think he better bcayse he packing boxes

This dude is an idiot which shows his unskilled he is, it has nothing to do capitalism or greed

Making burgers for strangers is a lot more complicated than a fukking package handler.

To me, they should honestly get paid more than him because they have to deal with rude ass customer.

I agree mainly because when I was working a relatively easy job at my stepdad's company in high school, a lot of my friends were working fast food and the amount of shyt they had to deal with was just :scust:.

The number of people who feel it is their god given right to turn up on fast food workers is out of this world. Karen gets cold fries at the drive thru and suddenly she's in the store all up in the cashier's face ready to jump the counter, threatening to sue. Kenneth doesn't like the fact that the pretty barista didn't laugh at his crude joke and suddenly she's all types of c*nts and whores.... Unskilled or not, putting up with that kind of shyt takes a certain level of restraint.

If a small business can’t afford to pay their workers a livable wage they shouldn’t be open or hire workers. Do the work yourself or with family.

This makes no sense at all because what is a livable wage? The min wage was created to give people fair pay for the job they was doing. Not give them a lifestyle pay

Minimum wage is supposed to be the minimum amount you need to cover the basics in life (home, utilities, etc). No willing and able adult should have to work multiple jobs and/or rely on some government assistance just to get by. :yeshrug:

If they don't have the skills to get paid more, that's just what they will have to do. I don't think expecting to be paid more for minimally skilled work is a logical way to think. I don't think having a society of minimally skilled workers is a good look either. I don't understand why someone wouldn't do everything they could to learn and obtain more skills, especially black people. You're already going to get low-balled and fukked over, experience it in a different bracket of jobs.

Not really min wage was created to give people fair pay for the jobs they are doing.
The issue fast food workers have is people don’t feel that work is worth $15 hr.
