The median age for fast food workers is 24 and has been that way since the mid 80's. The idea that fast food work is for high schoolers is ancient and I can't understand why people hold on to an ideology that hasn't been true in over 35 years.

If you 28 working at McDonald's for over 3 years with no other promotions or prospects you lost. I was embarrassed working at walmart at 24. Got up out that and got a decent job paying double.

No judgement but I wonder what goes on in the mind of someone at the age of 29 working at McDonald’s. I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are working a second job

There are unique factors in everybody's life that are different from everybody else. Some folks are just lazy true but the vast majority of people want the best in life for themselves. To judge another person as less than because of their current situation that you don’t have all the information about says a lot about you and the growing up you have to do and I say this as a person living very comfortably
