I have a Macbook for work, but as a data analyst, it fukkin sucks. There is so much SQL software not available on Mac, it's ridiculous. 
I know so many programs that would make work easier, but I'm stuck with Mac OS X infrastructure.

At my old job, I used a special software called Alteryx, for ETL with SQL queries. It allowed you to make scripts for SQL entry and overwrite and also to transform tons of data. I am eligible to ask for a license at my current job, but since we're based on Mac OS X, it won't work. We use Navicat which works pretty well on a basic database level, but it's so limited compared to what you do with Alteryx.what special software do you need to perform sql queries?

Best Buy has the base model 13 inch air for 799 I think that's what I'm gonna get. I already have the retina iMac which I use for mostly everything, I just need a laptop to take to school.
