Oh ya I got it on Saturday.

By FAR the best laptop on the market IMO

Amazing package..size, weight, Retina display, battery life and force touch is a great feature

SSD as a standard is nice too..computer boots up in literally 2 seconds if even that

For me, Apple hardware is unmatched. I have a 3 year old Air that was bought refurbished and it looks/works as good as new. My 2015 MBP is great too. I go days between plugging up either one. Rather than being attached to the charger, I have to get up and find the charger when it dies. :heh:

I HATE the Finder though. I don't care how nice it looks, it's still clunky and counterintuitive in some things. For example, I hate not being able to quickly navigate to a specific location without having to go to the menu and press a button then type in a place. I like being able to go any/everywhere from my address bar since I do it all day at work on Linux/Windows. I love the pathfinder app, but I just can't come to grips with paying for such a basic piece of any modern graphical OS.

If I could Frankenstein an OS from the best features of Linux/OSX/Windows I'd be a happy man. :heh:

Good hardware. Software is holding it back. If it didn't have the build quality, battery and screen, I'd never buy one.

I find a lot of the software counter intuitive and does not cater to a power user. Everything is always one or two extra steps than it needs to be. At least it seems that way.

Don't know if I want a MacBook or iMac. I feel like the MacBook might be overkill with having a iPhone and iPad already.

Always wonder why people keep buying these thing
they are built to last

after a couple years windows laptops gets destroyed by viruses, overheat, the motherboard cracked from too many drops or the port where you plug in the power gets damaged really badly which makes it a bytch just to charge.

macbooks are tougher and you can install windows safely on another partition

That's exactly how I feel. I don't mind the handholding, but make a toggle for advanced users. No reason I should have to go through 4 steps to go to a system folder.

And on a completely separate note, Word 2016 runs like shyt on my MacBook.

:patrice: I never fell in love with it in the first place :heh: OSX is good, but not great and some of my reasons are due to the over complication of simple things for the sake of simplicity. If your idea of "learning how to master the finder" is learning keyboard shortcuts, I already know that and I'm still not satisfied. Pressing a 3-4 key combo is not as simple as just clicking in an address bar and typing. As with everything, it just has its pros and cons.
