This is fox news-esque spin my nikka
Curry's jump shot is damn near the same since his time at davidson. Maybe a little faster here and there but most guys jumpers change a little bit after years in the league. But best believe it's 99% the same it was back in college. His quick release and range is what got him drafted in the lottery. What your probably referring to is a story ESPN ran on Curry's up bringing. Curry said that his dad told him if you wanna play in the league your gonna have to shoot above your head and redo your jumper but this was way back when he was in Junior high or something. You can even look up Curry high school tapes dude shoots the same way he does now. Lonzo gonna have to redo everything and I mean everything on his jumper and he has to do it at the highest level which will be tough.
No, his shot is not "99%" the same, he starts his release lower now than he did when he was a rookie and he gets it out much quicker -
vs now
Elevated, ball still in the pocket.
Elevated, feet barely off the ground and the ball is already on it's way out
Nowhere did I say he did a complete overhaul, I said he changed his shot and he did, it's turned into a lower release. His shot his first few years in the league was higher and more textbook looking, go back and look at his form from his rookie year. Today, his shot is 1 motion up and out almost like how little kids shoot with push shots, matter of fact he didn't really take that many off the dribble threes his first couple years in the league because his jumper was too slow.

2010/2011 - 80%
2011/2012 -78%

2013/2014 - 45%
2014/2015 - 57%
2015/2016 - 54%
I highlighted 2011-2012 because that's the year he played 26 games, so explain to me what changed between then and the following years that helped him get his threes off the dribble more
He changed his release and it's backed up by numbers in conjunction with actually just going back and looking at his form.I can post a lot more gifs if need be.

) I don't know why Lavar let him keep shooting that way.
. He probably never even thought the shot looked weird because Lonzo was always bigger and better than his competition and it never got exposed. All he knows about basketball is "get my sons the ball and let them do work". I'm sure the only reason he was the coach of their youth league teams is because he wanted to do it and he didn't have a job.
