1 Corinthians 5:11 - "But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one."
A brother who is guilty of sexual immorality or greed...you stepping on thin ice here brother.
This is false, I read the entire bible did you?
You can ask for whatever as long as you don't worship it
God says material stuff will never have the same worth as you and your soul so he will gladly give you whatever you ask for
Iam sorry if you have been brainwashed with low self esteem thoughts of brokenness but that's not what God wants for you
Yes, I repeatedly read through the Bible. That's how I know that warnings against the pursuit of wealth are a MAJOR theme in the New Testament.
James 4:1-2 - "What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people!"
1 Timothy 6:6-11 - "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains. But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness."
Luke 6:24 - “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation."
Matthew 6:19-21 - "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Luke 12:15 - And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Luke 12:33-34 - "Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Mark 4:18-19 - "And others are those sown among the thorns: these are the ones who hear the word, but the cares of the world, and the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it yields nothing."
Matthew 19:21 - Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Matthew 19:24 - "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Hebrews 13:5 - "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'”
James 5:1-3 "Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days."
Acts 4:32-35 "Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need."
Abraham did it why shouldn't I ?
You low self esteem negros are so scary
You got that story way confused breh.
God promised Abraham that he and his wife would have a child, Abraham and his wife Sarah didn't believe God so he slept with her maid Hagar instead (obviously against God's will), she had a baby but it produced massive family problems and the mom and kid eventually had to flee out into the desert. Abraham never asked God for a woman, in fact his wife BLAMED God for the fact that she hadn't had kids yet, and Abraham sleeping with another woman caused nothing but problems in his family.
