If the woman abandons her kid on someone’s doorstep, the father isn’t charged with child abandonment. If you don’t want a child, stop going raw. I fully agree that the woman is more responsible, because it’s her body, but most women aren’t living solely on child support. Even at $800 a month, you’re not surviving on that. But we know how the system works, yet we still choose to take the risk just for raw sex. Short term gratification vs long term consequences. Most women don’t view abortion as easy birth control. If they did, there wouldn’t be as many single mothers.

It’s not a double standard. Men don’t carry the baby. Men don’t go through the physical and mental trauma that is caused by carrying and delivering that baby. They don’t deal with the post partrum depression and other issues that arise as a result of delivering this baby.

Women can not get pregnant without men impregnating them, once a woman is impregnated, they have all of the say in whether or not that baby is ultimately birthed. Men have all the say in whether or not women are impregnated

Pregnancy and childbirth are physiological experiences that a woman goes through. Being able to opt out of that is a medical issue.

Child support is a legal issue. The reason it exists is to give a child the best chance at survival and a decent chance at making it to adult hood without being a criminal, mentally ill or an addict. If a man is on record as never wanting the child and can prove that he had told the mother well in advance, while the pregnancy could still be ended, that he would not accept parental rights or responsibilities, then he should not be compelled to pay child support. The mother should be able to apply for government child payments or claim subsidies for items related to the child's needs.

If a woman is unprepared for both the physiological and sociological events of motherhood, then she should get the option to opt out. The same should be available for men with respect to the stress that will come with having to financially support a child you weren't prepared for whilst not even knowing if the mother is actually using the child support money the way its intended to he used.

Yea, I don’t think this is compelling at all. IMO doing just child support is opting out of being a parent too.
A more compelling argument is the reverse. When a woman wants to opt out with a abortion, but the man wants the child. Nobody cares if the man wants to be a father. That’s when the double standard is crazy.

She is spitting partial facts if as long as the pregnant mother is within the abortion period and can have an abortion, why cant the potential father compel her to remove his genetic material?
