We have to learn from our mistakes and seek to do better, because the honest truth is we only have ourselves to rely on. Everyone else has their own agendas, so we need to finally get established ours and I believe a good first step is to retire the n-word and all of its derivatives for good in our community. It makes it a lot easier to police the word, when we are not running around using the word on each other every chance we get.
Using a word mainly used in a negative manner, no matter how you make derivatives of it, as a designation for our people is a bit of self-inflicted psyops we are doing to ourselves that we can definitely fix.

Cacs have power but they don't make Black people push thot culture in music and on the internet. They do that on their own.
They also didn't make Black people abandon their neighborhoods, schools, and businesses and push for pro white integration.
Black people did all that on their own as well.
They also didn't make Black people abandon Black Nationalism. Black people did that on their own as well.
And every measure of progress starts with an idea or a philosophy.
Well the dominant idea (or philosophy) in the Black community now is pro-white integration. But there's only destruction down that path. Because whites will always be anti-Black and you can't build among those who despise you and will always tear down what you build.
But that seems like what a lot of Black people actually want. To permanently disappear into whiteness because they're so psychologically damaged.
Either through interracial marriage/childbirth or integration into white neighborhoods.

I don't see how they're the ones making the word "culturally acceptable" though. This is a case where it's pretty much definitively in Black folks' hands whether they want the word to continue to have social currency or not. Asking rich White people to regulate Black people's use of a word feels defeatist and condescending. If Black folk stopped using it and/or stopped buying music and media that used it, everyone else would be forced to phase it out as well.
