He won't be getting that shyt off in the league breh:mjlol:
LOL AS if the league is about defense. its not. unless he's dealing with dude from the bucks, or KL from the spurs or durant. he's good money. who else is that size that could bother his shot? no one. he can always get it off. now the lack of core strength will be an issue. and that can come with time. growing up , getting older + a nba pro regimen vs a college level regimen. this is the one plus iwth going in now and being stashed away to get his body ready for the next level.

but lets all remember durant couldnt bench press much. yet he balled out but still had serious issues with the ron artest defenders moving him around. but that was until he got his base together a few years later and the league rules became softer and softer where you can touch guys less and less along the perimeter.

He could be yi the Asian tiger bust to Durant playing sg in Seattle as rookie as a successful player.

Art Barr
true.true. i think he has more overall game and attitude than Yi. i think was mentally afraid of playing in the nba. he had enough skill to be that other tall jumpshooting and nothing else big thats still in the nba. the guy who use to play for the bucks(i think he was a foreigner. stretch 4. can't remember his name, he's still in the nba doing mostly nothing but occasionally hitting a jumper.i know for a fact thon can do that in the nba for years to come if he doesnt develop at all. lol. thats all i'm saying. people have this mentality where they are afraid to get down with a possible really good player and be disappointed. so they call them a bust early JUSSST in case they turn into a bust and no one can clown them for being so wrong about the guy they liked.

There are busts, there are so so guys, there are slightly above average(borderline allstars (lamar odom types), allstars, then superstars.

doesnt mean he's a bust. thats all i'm saying. if you think he has regressed. he surely cant be a bust because that means no one thinks that highly of him. a bust is when you think Higly of someone who ends up doing nada in the league.

He's nothing like Durant at 19. He's not even projected to be the kind of player you and Barr are pumping this nicca up to potentially be...people see him as an "energy big". If you think he's going to be catching it on the perimeter and handling the pill like he is on those high school youtube mixtapes...like I said before, that shyt is not translating to the league.

Have you seen anything outside highlight vids to say this? I know @Art Barr hasn't

This. If a great player development coach gets him like Pop or Kidd, they can mold him into something special
I think peoplw undwr estimate just how many high school kids who entered the deaft are still in the nba and dokng well

Kwame was a bust by most scout syet he played 13 years and was a capable defensive big throughout

Lou will, monta, amor johnson, all are still doing fine and wre considered vereeans who came in from high school

Not to mention the kobe/bron/Dwight /kg level talents

You guys should read Johnathan abrams book about high school players going pro

KD was light years better than Thon at the same point in their careers. Also, KD is a perimeter player, so he didn't have to really do a lot of banging. Thon is a 4 or a 5. He is NOT a 3 in the league. At 215, he will be eaten alive in the paint. There are guards in the league that outweigh him:mjlol: He may end up being a good player, but he's not ready to be a contributor yet. He does have good ball skills for a 7-footer, but I watched him play Harry Giles, and Giles dominated him. I don't see how he will be able to carve out space in the paint, rebound, or defend. He should be able to get some help side blocks, but will he be able to guard his man one-on-one. He doesn't have to be a lock down defender, but he can't be getting targeted and scored on every possession either. He has the talent to be a solid player in the league, but he will have to work on his body:whoa:, otherwise:francis:

Many of yall in this thread need to take a good look at yourselves.

:camby:

The media has yall noses wide open.

Out here talking like going and playing nationally televised games for free is mandatory to be an NBA player.

:aicmon:

Risking your physical health for the financial benefit of educational administrators with no (legal) financial remuneration.

And don't talk that 'scholarship' shyt either

:camby:

Saying a talented young man is making a mistake in trying to be compensated for his blood sweat and tears with more than the highly contingent promise of a contract next year.
