by the end of this thread, 3-6 mafia tapes from 1968 will be brought up.
the unreleased gems from their failed deal with stax records.

You put up the mission accomplished sign too early breh

Check out early brutha Lynch Hung, who far as I know was doing horroecore before 3-6,in a group called Triple Sic,back before 3-6 was even call in themselves 3-6....not only was he doing the horeoecore shyt but you could argue the "Lord Infamous" flow,is inspired by Brother lynches sped up sticcato flow
..but maybe it's all coincidence though
Listen to born to Mack by Too Short,if we talking about dark sinister bass beats...Trap ain't spawned by 3-6,it's spawned by mob music,by sound,by subject matter,by its personality....can't forget Eazy E either of course, irrc Backyard Posse (3-6) sampled Eazy E on multiple occasions....I don't believe in coincidences, the souths most influential "trap gods/influencers" cite bay influences

I'll take their production over 36 any day of the week and E-40 is better than anybody in 36.There is nothing that The Click do better than 3-6. They don't have the better songs, they don't have better albums, and they don't have the diversity of them. The Click >>> 3-6 is a total lie.
After giving this some thought I remember Bone should be given just as much credit for the sound yall are talking about
what about Woodie or Speedy Loc? Woodie was big in the bay back in the day. so was Speedy (RIP) Even Daz hopped on that Nor Cal rap, as you can see from the Speedy Loc videoI actually agree with this as well (to an extent). But Bone's impact and reach didn't extend as log as triple 6s.
I would also say in real time, having lived through both of their reigns Bone started out ahead of three six in terms of overall quality but ended up getting lapped
Production and subject matter they had influenced Crunk and Trap
Pimp C said this in that Atl interview and its facts
I feel like Three 6 , Master P and Pastor Troy don't get enough credit
Why u say troy?
Bone definitely had the bigger impact while 3 6 had more longevity. Id be curious to see how many of these newer rappers would list 3 6 as an influence tho. It seems like most of em were influenced more by Wayne than anybody else and are just hopping on the sound that's hot right nowI actually agree with this as well (to an extent). But Bone's impact and reach didn't extend as log as triple 6s.
