why in the opening credits of adventures in hollywood did they call project pat their protege? That shyt always bothered me, they acted like he was some up and coming artist who didn't already have a platinum album

Major history rewrites in here. I think a lot of people just discovered Three Six via artists and producers like Gucci and Lex Luger citing them as influences. Then they are applying that to the sound that is now dominant now.

For starters, you can't credit Three Six for fathering trap or crunk. You had "Lay It Down" (Ball & G) and several other records that were crunk classics before Three Six were even buzzing. Some of you probably don't even remember Lil' Jon & The Eastside Boys releasing "Who You Wit" in '97. That faint girls voice you hear on lot of trap songs, "Who You Wit" was one of the first songs with it.

You can't say people "just discovered Three 6" then follow that up with "some of you probably don't remember Who You Wit". I mean, are we really gonna act like Three 6 didn't first pop up as the Backyard Posse in 1991?

The Three Six version of that sample is way cleaner, way harder, way better

They created the trap shyt too
:dwillhuh:
Just flipped that sample way better.
I was waiting to see what they did with the rest of the sample to see how it compared to Just, but nope...they just used the same loop throughout the same song. :russ:

Wrong, it has way more stuff in Just shyt, you don't hear the choir in the background, that's not even in the sample.

Also Jsut shyt sounds like a sample, it's not clean
The 3 six version its clean. Clear as day, and it's louder and more vibrant,
And at the end of the song DJ paul does his thang.

Just did not even flip the sample, that's the loop with a snare on it

they put a bassline on it and everything

you exposed yourself has being tone def

drums were ten times better too
