Sell me Tucker. Because word is he’s gonna want 400+ milly and the numbers don’t scream 400 milly.

4 years younger than Nimmo with better defense. Average OPS+ of 140 a season while Nimmo is 124. Tucker, in his bad cubs season, would be second on this year's Mets in OBP, 3rd in OPS+, 5th in home runs, 5th in RBIs and hit into less DP than the big 3.

He's had some injury issues, but the age is a big factor and he's an upgrade in nearly every category over Nimmo. I don't know what his contact ends up being, but I'm sure they could figure something out.

That’s a decent pitch, but I’m still not seeing 400M. He’d have to come down. Substantially.

If they sign schwaber, I can live with Pete at 1st until the schwaber contact ends. If not, he can be a hybrid DH/1st, but once his contract ends I would move Soto to DH.

Soto's bat can carry his glove for a few more seasons

Can't imagine they would sign Pete AND Schwarber. Not sure I would want them to either. Pete at DH makes a ton of sense, not sure he would agree to it though.
