Jones and Lamb not getting minutes this year was retarded, they could have thrown them out there against a gang of bad teams just so they can get minutes. That's why even though they have the Toronto pick, it's like will Brooks even play whoever they draft?

A coach like Gregg Popovich would have gone ahead and sacrificed some wins by having Jones and Lamb play at the end of games to get their confidence/experience up. That's just long term thinking. They would have been ready to contribute in this moment.

Ibaka is soooo overrated. Dude can only hit wide open shots that westbrook and Durant set up for him

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
who knows what picks they get out of the deal.. with the rockets continuing to make the playoffs, those picks are gonna look worse and worse.. and who's coming out that'll make up for that loss??

what i can't figure out for the LIFE of me... is why everyone in the league knows :youngsabo: ain't a point guard.... why did they NEVER try harden at pg, westbrook at sg and durant at sf... that's three all stars.. young all stars.. young superstars.. all 3 could be a #1 for a team.. and yet they continued to let him come off the bench and then trade him

ibaka is cool and all.. but put ibaka on the rockets and they couldn't even spell playoffs

That's too much young talent w/o an seasoned coach to make that work

Harden's not a PG either, and definitely not a better option than Westbrook there. He's actually sloppier than Westbrook with the ball.

Harden got put on the Rockets and they went from a 9th seed to an 8th seed. Let's not start pretending OKC traded Durant.

yea real :trash: when you choose ibaka over harden huh?

That's NOT what OKC did. Ibaka took the deal that OKC offered. Harden did NOT. Harden as a result, got dealt. If OKC could have their way, Harden would have taken the deal OKC offered and they'd all still be there. Harden wanted more.

Harden over Ibaka and it's not even close...especially the way the guards have been getting injured. It was due for Durant or Westbrook to get injured...Harden would be a good backup. Ibaka is nothing special...just a nikka that takes advantage of being a weak side defender. Keep the better player who is harder to replace...especially when these days most teams play small ball. Collinson is the best big man on their team regardless. :ehh:

If that's how you see it, then you could give Harden $120 mil. You're still not winning a title, and you still wind up in this very same position.

yea, but they also could have traded him at the deadline and gotten more or done a sign and trade deal

i like lamb and the draft pick but kevin martin is :flabbynsick:

If people are crying over dealing Harden before the season even started, what kind of uproar would have come up had OKC had the #1 seed, best record in the West and then said "fukk it, trade Harden now"? Y'all woulda killed OKC management even more.

We all see how mediocre Ibaka is and know he's overpaid. They coulda shipped his ass out and kept Harden instead, then signed someone like David West in the offseason.
.

West wouldn't have been an option because unless Indiana was gonna swap West for Ibaka straight up, where was OKC gonna get the space to sign him? Mind you, Durant, Westbrook, AND Harden would all be on max deals.

It's easy to say "we know how mediocre Ibaka is" but if Harden stayed as a max player and was still playing 30mpg doing JR Smith numbers and you still couldn't trust him in a big spot, it woulda been easy to say "damn, teams were willing to offer that to a 6th man and OKC didn't do it? Presti's slippin"

Easy, sign West first, then Harden or do a sign and trade with West and Ibaka.

Harden having one awful series doesn't negate all the good ones he's had. Everyone's quick to forget how well he played against the Spurs in the WCF.

Thunder/TSC
It all still falls back on Durant. His game isn't there yet.
He hasn't learned to trust his team and to become a picky scorer.
He can get the same amount of victories and points playing 8 min less a game.
Him and Brooks are learning on the fly.

:sheed:

What is it about the Thunder that makes people go full retarded when talking about the Thunder?
