Judging by the standards of rap today, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

T.I. and Jeezy were at the forefront of Trap Music which has been probably the most popular sub-genre in rap since 2000.

Lil Wayne like him or not has probably been the most popular rapper (with Kanye) of this Generation.

5-6 or six years ago I would have said nah, but now the climate has changed. All these dudes gotta multiple platinum plaques for records and even though they have cooled off and aren't hot they still moves more units now than most of the so-called top rappers do.

T.I.? Only as a Southern legend, yeah. Always thought T.I. was one of the best out of the A but he kinda has a suspect discography. He has 1 great album for every 1 mediocre album in his collection.

Jeezy? Same thing. I like Jeezy better than T.I. these days, but Jeezy still needs one more solid album to put him in the legend list. It'll determine if he's T.I. status or Kilo Ali status.

Wayne? To most younger people, he will be. It is what it is.

People are disrespecting the south too much,

These are the cats that made the south the dominating region and it's been dominating for 8 years now. Together with a few other dudes playing a smaller role (Houston in 05), Lil Jon... The era is basically about to come to an end now that all regions are practically even and also a bunch of "non coastal/southern rappers".

But really the south dominated hiphop longer than the west coast did in the 90s (even though the quality is incomparable. But these dudes deserve legend status.

Yes. They are all legends.

I don't see why nikkas are bringing up dudes fallin off/being relevant and their last couple of albums being good or not like Nas,Jay and Eminem don't have a few dents on their track record :mjpls:

Lil Wayne influenced this entire generation of new rappers including Big Sean,Drake,Wiz,Tyga etc..you can hear it in their delivery,voices etc..In his prime he was an absolute monster: SQAD,Carter 1,Carter 3 Seessions,Dedication series,Drought 3,No Ceilings,Carter 2>>>>

Jeezy made trap music popular, with TOD and TM101, he laid down the ATL kingpin rapper blueprint before anybody did it. From 2005-2008 one of the strongest catalogs of any rapper from this generation.

TI is one of the best lyrical rappers to ever live period, he can end careers, tell stories, make shyt for the women, dope boy shyt...you name it, probably the most well rounded rapper aside from Hov. He's outrapped Jay-z,Lupe,Eminem and a prime Lil Wayne and has a mean catalog Trap Musik to Paper Trail.

This is the Jay,Nas,Biggie of the last generation.

This, and I'd say TI had a greater impact than Jeezy.

TI and Jeezy? No. I don't see how either of these guys popularized "trap music" when people from the South (UGK, Outkast, 8Ball & MJG, Project Pat, etc.) were rapping about the same shyt years before them. And in some cases using the term "trap" while doing it.

Wayne? Yes. Even though he fell off horrifically....and I don't think anyone but the super duper delusional die hard stans can argue otherwise....he's been active and successful for 14 years.

How does Outkast, UGK, 8Ball and them sound like T.I and Jeezy or how rap has been sounding for the past 8-9 years?

Just cause you're from the south and rap about moving white and everyday life of a street dude? :dead:
It's like saying Dipset is the same as Kool G Rap.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH5Ce6za4Co"]T.I.-Dope Boyz (EXPLICIT) - YouTube[/ame]

is not the same as

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uijHb5U1pD8"]UGK - Diamonds & Wood - YouTube[/ame]

Yes Three 6, UGK and them might've been early pioneers of "trap music" but popularizing it and completely changing it, having NY, Cali and everyone blowing it out of their speakers was due to Jeezy and T.I.. Ask someone to name some trap producers. Do you think they will answer Dj Paul, Organized Noize and Pimp C or do you think they will say Lex Luger, Shawty Redd, Drumma Boy, Zaytoven etc.
