Why y’all mad at TIP for speaking up for himself?
What does TI being “hotep” have to do with anything? What s wrong with TIP bring a conscious activist?
I have no problem with the latter but when it comes to the former he's off.

Gucci only hits have come by the way of a Drake Feature and Quavo Hook.

Dude's music aint really relevant. It has the same fanfare it always has.
You act like Gucci ain't have hits before drake and quavo. nikka had hits by himself (lemonade, so icey) and pop stars. Not saying tip didn't but don't sleep on guwop discography. He just couldn't stay out of jail long enough to string them together.

Plus gotti still make his own hits, gucci only got one hit his whole career. That flop song with usher lol
:russ: other than rake it up what certified hits gotti got?

Gotta admit, people want history to be re-written. :francis:

TI was really at the forefront in the ATL trap scene long before any record exec thought it was profitable. Gucci Mane didn't start making noise on the impact level until TI and Jeezy made millions. TI took risks artistically. Even Jeezy did.

Name one artistic risk Gucci Mane did?....ONE......

You have no idea what you’re talking about but please keep talking.

Gucci Mane was black ballled for the longest. If you can’t look at hip hop right now (and the past 10 years) and not Dre Gucci Mane I don’t what else to tell you

But keep talking

So Gucci Mane was known as a solo artist back in the early 00s? I saw his first videos back in 2000/2001 with Video Music Box and Ralph McDaniels when they payed the hell outta underground artists back then. TI flopped, but he stayed true to his sound when no one had faith in him. Gucci Mane didn't get that "So Icey" until after Jeezy DMX'd the rap game down south and inspired millions of trap dudes to start rapping back in 05.

Only thing Gucci did was endure for the long haul and had to wait till TI went to jail with his career on the gradual decline and Jeezy's label situation with Def Jam halted his career (with the suicide of Shakur Stewart) that didn't allow him to drop an album in 3 and a half years.

Wasn't until 2012 was when Gucci started to have his feminine ass "children" start making noise when trap music was the known sound. He inspired so much of :wrist: with these frail ass dudes like Rainbow 69, Young Thug, and others; even more than Lil Wayne.

For the last time, let Top have that. TRAP MUSIC didn't start with ugk, ghetto mafia, 666, a damn shame, or any of that. At the time it was called gangsta. Street. shyt of that nature. Tip named his album trap music, now nikkaz wanna rewrite history cuz of unseen feelings. nikkaz in atlanta didn't know who Gucci was in 01. Hell 02 either. Or 03.

Facts. In the ATL, TI was known as a solo artist long before Gucci Mane. Cats want to rewrite history on some CAC shyt.
