Because I dont PAY to listen to music with a streaming service..... :mjlol: Y'all nikkas are really getting conned out here... Making all types of excuses about why this is a goood deal!?!? :wtf: Your basically coming outta pocket to rent music libraries with (NO option to buy, right now) :mjlol: And there are other services which you can use for FREE.... All those $10 payments add up...
so you're broke or cheap...got it. as i said, if your prerogative is to not pay for music (or streaming) fine, but $10/month aint shyt for what they're offering, no matter how many :mjlol:'s you try to throw in a post. people waste more than $10 on a regular basis for things that provide far less value

quite a few folks just said they pay for spotify, beats, google all music, etc...which are all cost less than tidal, so i doubt many folks will switch to the same offering that cost $10 more if they don't find the "benefits" of the service applicable to their needs. stop while you're behind.

15 million people pay for Spotify, and most of them pay $10 a month for it. 6 million people pay for Deezer. Millions more pay from $5 to $10 a month for the other streaming services(Google, Beats, Pandora). That makes at least 23-25 million people that pay to stream music.

I know broke/cheap people make up a bigger number(45 million out of 60 million for Spotify), so they started the huge backlash Tidal is getting on Twitter, a free service, and that's what's making it look bad. But people who pay for streaming aren't outright panning Tidal or claiming it's DOA. It's just those broke/cheap people that are scared this will take away their easier/convenient way to get free music. Tidal's success or failure won't be because it doesn't have a free tier, because there's a big enough base of potential customers that have shown a willingness to pay. And if they tighten up on the enforcement end by removing illegal music from Youtube and the rest, pulling some big catalogues from Spotify, and SHOWING people how Tidal will help artists, then they'll be a viable alternative to Spotify.

I'm a long time downloader/uploader to my ipod that shyt was a hassle managing the 32gb I have. The way I do it, my ipod is for unrealesd shyt, mixtapes, old shyt. Spotify is for browsing through new music, new genres, all the albums released by labels. Even new stuff that leaks I just wait for it to get on there and then I'll listen. Signed up for TIDAL today just to see if the sound is better. It really is, I can hear everything clearer. It's not worth 20 bucks though, at least not for me. Maybe if I had a better job. Anyway won't switch to the 9.99 cause the interface is an uglier Spotify and I don't care about videos. Beats had a cool interface but there streaming was laggy. Anyone know if it's gotten better?

its all about convenience.. If I'm a road trip driving and want to hear a random album immediately or at an office Holiday for party and someone request a song I can search and download it to my phone in seconds without Wi Fi access

I have over a year's worth of playlists on my spotify that have been carefully constructed, they need to do an import feature. I'm not trying to build them all over at this point, on a weaker interface. But I understand you just want to launch the service. "Perfection is the enemy of good."

That said, I'm all about supporting the artists, but for $20 a month they should give us the option to download and burn the cd's too. Then we can actually own it off the phone/computer. The pirating aspect is going to always be there anyway.
True, but, its easy to record the streaming music anyway. I guess the younger generation don't know about recording music they want but, recording streaming music is no different from recording from the radio. All you have to do is hook up your computers soundcard to something that is able to record audio and make a file. As long as you keep the file as a way or aiff, it will stay at CD quality. While you are listening to the songs you can be recording them. Easy to me:yeshrug:
