Wherever nikkas need to be told on
No more like leasing a car or stealing a car (with lower risk).
I guess there' that, too--i.e. people who download music without paying. (That was my former life :francis:)

Generally, I'm apart of the breed that buys CDs and vinyl and listens to streaming music for free on Pandora, Spotify, and Amazon. What is the benefit to our ilk of renting music? :ld:

Make your own mixtape... :dahell:

Bunch of chatty pattys spending more time talking than making their own mixtapes. They need to be their own boss. What kind of man pays another man to tell them what to listen to? That aint fly.

I already use spotify, I see no reason to switch that up:yeshrug: one of my housemates has some high quality speakers (krk or something, I don't know about all that) and I've compared some spotify-streams with lossless files, I can't hear the difference, maybe if I spend some time on it I could, but why would I want to ruin my entire mp3-collection:patrice:

I also cop cds/vinyl, I used to download a lot of things, listen to it for a while and sooner or later I'd pay for the record because I deemed it worthy of the collection, now I use spotify for the first step, so at least the artists are getting paid even if I don't like the music enough, it might not be much but:manny:

If you can spend $199-$499 on a pair of headphones, surly you can spend $19.99 on a lossless streaming service or better yet buy the compact disc and rip it to lossless or lossy audio all you want. Put them headphones to some real use.

If you don't care about sound quality then Spotify and Google Music is great for streaming lossy music.

There's nothing wrong with having options.

Although, once you go lossless, it's hard to go back to lossy.

Exactly dude buying Dre Beats and Bose but listening to Spotify and Amazon smh

For me it is. The point of having lossless files, that are encoded well, is to hear the Dynamics of each instrument, and vocals. This would make it louder, and clearer, then lossy files. You might not hear it if, you just expect something out of this world, but, once those expectations go, and you are listening to the music on a good DAC, its no way you can go back to regular shyt. I just can't wait for files becoming 24 bit, 96khz, for sell. They are for sale now, but, its mostly other genres. Rap music listeners don't usually care about quality so I guess labels see no need to sell rap albums in high volume on hi fi music sites. Maybe this tidal thing will help change that. Imagine a dre beat using a file that came straight from the studio, and listening to it on a good DAC like Cambridge audio or a Sony hi res player, using some audizee lcd headphones or the new ones the are about to be released that uses a new form of planar magnetics. shyt would be lovely.

True indeed after listening to Meek monster song the beat is fukkin horrible breh I was amaze that you can really hear each individual effect when it came to putting that beat together. The bass in the whip oh god when playing songs with strong bass All sound no air static etc... Beautiful

Amazon selection is ass and tidal has mixtapes that spotify doesn't have.
that's spotify's one drawback, not having most the mixtapes, than again, most those tapes aren't mixed well. i don't see how tidal can do anything to improve audio quality of a poorly mixed/mastered tape.

I have over a year's worth of playlists on my spotify that have been carefully constructed, they need to do an import feature. I'm not trying to build them all over at this point, on a weaker interface. But I understand you just want to launch the service. "Perfection is the enemy of good."

That said, I'm all about supporting the artists, but for $20 a month they should give us the option to download and burn the cd's too. Then we can actually own it off the phone/computer. The pirating aspect is going to always be there anyway.
