And that's what Jay is banking on, cuz his service/product can't carry itself. Give him money cuz he's black. And that's up to you if you wanna do that. I get it. But Jay is an a$$hole and doesn't give a fukk about you. He just wants your money. Ask all of Jays ex friends from the hood what they think about him.
You say that as if google, apple or spotify give a fukk about you. 99% of companies you support everyday dont give a damn about you. You obviously hold black owned businesses to a different standard than the white business you support everyday cause if a company caring or the ceo not being a rich a$$hole was the criteria you used to decide what you buy then you wouldnt be able to buy anything.

Nobody said support him only cause he is black. What is being said is IF you are looking for a streaming service and jays service is similar or better to whats out there ( and many reviews say its competitive) then it being black owned will get my money 100% of the time.

The United States of America.

This is what I see bro

I know there is an issue about it costing more if you sign up via Apple or sign up from a desktop (cuz Apple charges a fee). But they should drop the price of the in app purchase if thats the case (which would go against their mission of paying the artists more, hence the struggles theyre having) . Cuz most people would rather sign up directly from their phones and Spotify charges me 9.99 exactly no matter how I choose to sign up....

Blame apple for that breh. They want 30% of the monthly free if you offer IAP. On Android the price is still the same.

Amazon took a different stance and you can only purchase Kindle books via a web browser to avoid paying the 30% App store tax.

Come fukk with Goog set breh :obama:

That article was written in January, well before the known bugs and constant crashes with the Tidal app.

Tidal is a flop, B. Camel paraded all his buddies out to make this grand entrance into the streaming music industry, but lacked planning and preparation, and his whole marketing ploy was a dichotomy from it's intended goal. If you're trying to sell the concept of paying the struggling artist for their work, then why parade Madonna, Nikki Minaj, and Beyonce out as the faces of Tidal? Wouldn't it make more sense to trot out Tech9, or Curren$y--you know, artists that actually make close to nothing from album sales? That's why it's a disaster.

Breh have you even used Tidal :comeon:? Because this the 3rd time I've asked you specifically what features are missing that makes tidal a flop and you've yet to give me answer.

And these dudes know that, but they're just being contrarian to be contrarian. Which is why I keep asking these dudes specifically what features is Tidal missing that makes the service bad and nobody has said anything. So far Tidal is pretty identical to Spotify. The only feature that I care about that's missing is a PS4 Tidal app (and I used the PS4 spotify app for the first time yesterday).

Other than that, they're pretty much identical IMO.

Its tough when your competitor is also your supplier.

Tidal's catalog is smaller. To me that matter A LOT. Can't charge more, or even the same and offer less music.

And theres also the concept of switching costs that ALL new businesses in an established industry have to deal with. You need to give people a reason to use a different service if they are content with the status quo. The fact that its new and unproven is reason enough to avoid it, even if they are the exact same price. And thats why marketing is so important, but Tidal messed that up more than anything...

If this was a Dame Dash venture ya'll would understand why it went bad

who cares if she paid for the bottles or not...that's beside the point. if they are trying to sell Tidal as an outlet to get the little man paid, then why use beyonce pouring out a 20K bottle of champagne as a part of your marketing? shyt is so stupid, but you stans eat it up because it's your idol. pathetic
you an absolute idiot

this is whats wrong with " consumers" today,

you cant even afford the bottle, stop worrying about things that isn't catered to your lifestyle

you already knew she was rich before she took the pic so why are you complaining about her " supposedly" pouring a 20k bottle into a pool

again, if you pay attention to things thats not catered to you then you become that " consumer slave",buying shyt that doesn't go with your lifestyle

//

the only thing jay did wrong was that his presentation was too honest, but the" pie" is too fresh and too big for him not to win...

in other terms(,hate using such terms but hey) .... he is the "connect "(he has the artist, all the tools in place for him to catch up and make other streaming service change up their plans).....unlike spotify who just the dealer

again ,everyone has to wait and see:myman:

Breh, if it was a same dash venture tidal would be a struggle site with 7 subscribers all who happen to be from Harlem :comeon:

Regarding its catalog, I mostly listen to hip hop and all the music I searched for is on there :manny:

I had the same concern's about its catalog at first but once I transfered all my playlists over I was cool.

The only songs that was missing was two songs from a hustle gang mix tape and a random brother Ali track.

You got a point about marketing though, its def gonna be an uphill battle, especially when Apple joins in.

Prove the bolded. What features is Tidal missing that makes it inferior to Spotify that'll have it called the biggest disaster in music history?
The decade of work devoted to a concept the distributors didn't want. Being the primary service to change the way people consume music on all platforms (youtube, soundcloud are up there too).

Spotify believed people wanted to consume music legally but most would want to do it for free. They built a model around that. Then they said - if you made it convenient, mobile and multi-channel a lot of people would pay for music as an overall service. Not Radio style but like their own music library. I'm not saynig they were the first but they were the best.

Now you have Jay Z trying to catch the wave, a decade after Spotify started, 60m users up, 12m paid users up.

Tidal is a copy-cat service. You can't come to the market with a near identical service to an existing, established platform that has more options and seriously expect to succeed.

dont be mad, just understand that some things isn't for you:yeshrug:

the fact that you refer to him as "camel" tells me a lot ...all this effort and research that you put into jay's tidal app, could be applied to your own venture....but no,hating and getting online daps are that more rewarding :troll:

at the end of the day,Tidal isnt going anywhere, they will continue to build and gain momentum, I can promise you that:mjpls:

don't worry about me stanley, I'm eating

and same goes for you...instead of spending your time defending another man's flopped venture, why don't you start your own venture. you're not seeing a dime from Tidal so why are you so worried about the negative press? :mjlol:

and it will only get better

and im yet to mention what tidal does for independent artist...

So I ask what features Spotify has that tidal doesn't and your reply is that Tidal is jumping on the streaming wave too late :dahell:

What specifically is tidal missing that makes it an inferior service to Spotify.

More importantly have you even used tidal?

You really think beyonce paid for those bottles... lol. They get that shyt for free just like she dont pay for her 100k dresses and jewerly she wears to the grammys. You are so concerned about other peoples money. I dont understand the jealously. You are not worried about google and apple and spotifys ceos money so why do you care about jay and b's.
