who cares if she paid for the bottles or not...that's beside the point. if they are trying to sell Tidal as an outlet to get the little man paid, then why use beyonce pouring out a 20K bottle of champagne as a part of your marketing? shyt is so stupid, but you stans eat it up because it's your idol. pathetic

You spend most of your days hating on Jay-Z and Tidal...LITERALLY. Even in threads that have nothing to do with Jay-Z or TIDAL. Look at your posting history. :snoop:

Who are you to call anyone stupid? :dwillhuh:

People just dont get it........ I hate to say it because anyone with melanin is my brother but at this point African Americans are their own worst enemy .....

Its laughable how many threads are made on this forum about "starting black businesses" and people cant see that the biggest obstacle is mentality .....

So many of them have a slave mentality its unreal ......trust me the Latinos will very very soon overtake you if you dont get your act together...its a damn shame ....

you dont seem to get it....YOU OWN NOTHING...... NOTHING

ALL the contributions to sport and especially music...and you own NOTHING.....
But you are quite content to let the white man make more off your own product than you??? .... and the minute a black person doesnt want to accept the status quo people are siding with their oppressors? ....... smh

reminds me of the mayweather hate.... funny how all the articles brought up he was a wife beater and how he shouldnt be supported but the likes of Sean Penn get a pass and no one calls for a boycott of his films ......

same people that buy an Applemac that costs five times as much as a PC for essentially doing the same thing and at the same time calling Steve Jobs a genius are the same people that are slamming TIDAL because it costs more than spotify....

you couldnt make this shyt up.... and the fact that people cant see it is a damn shame

Nothing more pathetic than a racist white person pretending to be black on a forum that deals with African American music..... yall hate us but you cant seem to get over your obsession with us and just leave us alone

I dont see black people joining country music forums pretending to be white

Negative shyt dealing with AA's = its ya,you, them

Positive shyt dealing with AA's=Its Us,we,our

:mjlol:

Much of your criticisms can be applied to Africans and caribbeans, mostly on a much larger scale

So I ask what features Spotify has that tidal doesn't and your reply is that Tidal is jumping on the streaming wave too late :dahell:

What specifically is tidal missing that makes it an inferior service to Spotify.

More importantly have you even used tidal?
That's like asking someone who used who had an iPod for 2 years - what the Zune doesn't have in comparison.

You don't replace the market leader byCopying it.

I lovw Jay but I'm not Stan enough to change and lose all my playlists and playlists between friends.

Just downloaded Tidal too so I could legit say I gave a black man a chance. They won't let me listen to a single song unless I choose the 25.99 month plan or the 12.99 a month plan. This is terrible. Will never use it again.
This is what a dishonest nikka looks like. Why can you not just say you hate that nikka Hov and stop trying to rationalize it? We have gone over this 8 million times that apple takes a 30% cut off the top. So you could, you know go on the tidal website itself and get the 30 day free trial. Beyond fake.

See what I mean @Data-Hawk. I''m done discusssing this ever again :laff:

People already didn't like tidal BEFORE the articles came out about it. They thought the price was too high and the litte gathering/paper signing/marketing thing did didn't help.

Ofcourse this is getting lots of attention. It involves lots of celebs including beyonce who people always talk about because it gets them more attention. The articles bashed it because the potential customers & twitter bashed and because the product isn't different & doesn't benefit the customer at all.

Spotify's sales have increased since tidal came out. Who do you guys blame for that?

Purchased for 50 million :sas1:
Now worth 250 million:sas2:

Camel won

That doesn't mean that he made that much money. That's how much money he put into making it better after he bought it. & that doesn't mean that anyone is willing to buy it for that price.

lol so I actually download Tidal, and tell you exactly what it says and provide a screenshot...and thats being dishonest?

I pay 9.99 for Spotify (cuz I signed up on the desktop version that I used before the mobile version was even popular). I downloaded Tidal to give it a shot. They wouldn't let me hear nann one song without agreeing to pay 12.99 or 25.99...end of transaction.

If they are trying to attract Spotify users like me then off top forcing me to go to the website and enter my credit card info for a "free" trial is a failure. Thats Tidal's problem, not mine.

Do you subscribe to Tidal? If so, enjoy it and keep it moving...

You say that as if google, apple or spotify give a fukk about you. 99% of companies you support everyday dont give a damn about you. You obviously hold black owned businesses to a different standard than the white business you support everyday cause if a company caring or the ceo not being a rich a$$hole was the criteria you used to decide what you buy then you wouldnt be able to buy anything.

Nobody said support him only cause he is black. What is being said is IF you are looking for a streaming service and jays service is similar or better to whats out there ( and many reviews say its competitive) then it being black owned will get my money 100% of the time.
listen, if Tidal offered the same service for even the same price then I would choose them over spotify

but they are more expensive.

I have no loyalty to anyone except for my bottomline

Destined to fail ...however if they acknowledged their mistakes and offered a free service like spotify coupled w exclusive content it might have a fighting chance

see but the problem, is they already raised prices and it's only been like 2 months. :damn:

http://www.vibe.com/2015/04/tidal-app-subscription-rates-increase/

Apparently, like Jay Z tweeted a couple of days ago, his new music streaming service TIDAL is doing just fine. That it is, but there have been some discrepancies when it comes to its pricing. At first, TIDAL’s premium plan—which gives consumers limited access to its library at 320 kbps—was priced at $9.99 (the same price Spotify charges for a similar service).

Starting today, at first glance it looks like TIDAL bumped up its subscription rates. On the phone app, it’s showing that it’s now $12.99 a month and the company’s HIFI service, which enlists lossless, high-fidelity audio, has jumped from $19.99 to $25.99 a month.

Blame them for bad advertising. In 2015 , people aren't paying attention to the CEO's like that because they know how to get out of the way of their product. and you are crazy if you think any of those CEO's wouldn't get the same treatment if they started playing the underdog every time they tried to launch a new product.

and you must of forgot when Microsoft received ton of backlash when they introduced the Xbox one

http://www.polygon.com/2013/6/7/4406170/xbox-one-internet-trade-policy

"After a month of vague corporate comments from Microsoft executives, we now know the Xbox One's game licensing policy was written from the ground up for companies. It's aggressively anti-consumer and anti-middle class, and it outright ignores underprivileged gamers. It's gross, despicable, greedy, pathetic, cowardly and out of touch with a growing global resentment for corporations."

And to address your first point, None of those company CEO's have advertising that makes you feel like you are donating or some freedom fighter. Nobody feels like they are taking a "stand" when buying a Xbox. Go back and watch the commercial and come back and tell me what you took away from it.

I honestly want to hear your opinion on this

fukk that's one of the most pretentious things I've ever seen.

I'm looking up some stuff on Tidal today, and I heard the concert was dope. I'm catching up on the events and business model now. But this commercial is awful. What Madonna says is one of the most empty and ridiculous things I've ever heard, and nothing about it says anything about why someone should pay for this service.

"It's about bringing humanity back to being artists."

:skip:

What?! I don't care about a bunch of mega rich celebrities excited that they're going to make more money and speaking pretentious nonsense. This is what they thought would sell the service?

The ipod or Iphone didnt bring anything new so its a very bad example. Despite the ipod and iphone relying too much on sucking people into the Apple ecosystem, the media gave them a lot of free and positive promo but other players like Sony also had similar and much more open products.

What's even more disappointing is that idiots here havent used the service and continue to regurgitate the same old tired points like Tidal being somehow inferior and being more expensive than Spotify.
On the price points: Listening to the $10p/m services from both streaming sites will make it clear that the Tidal quality is much more crisp and clearer than Spotify. Raise the volume on a song like Still Dre and the beat drop on Tidal is amazing, fancy headphones or not.

As a user - do you disagree that the iPod was the best MP3 player? The iPod and iTunes made buying music legally as easy as possible for the time. The Click wheel was intuitive. The design attractive. iTunes was easy to use and it connected seamlessly. The ecosystem you derided - made things easier for the user (so long as they stuck with Apple).

once you're first to get the user experience correct someone else is going to have to better it. This is Tidal's problem. Apple are about re-launch a streaming service. They will attempt to make the user experience better than Spotify. They won't come with the same thing.
