People trying to blame Tidal's struggles less on Hov's flawed business model and more into an issue of race :mjlol:
And I keep telling everyone who says this to explain how the business model differs substantially from paid, Rdo, Google, Spotify, etc. and no one does. I can just tell who is not well read on the issue. Jack White and deadmau5 are just as annoyed as Jay. Jack White said the same shyt in his e-mails today. All of a sudden people care about whether the people on the other end are wealthy. But they do not care about this in any other field. One person straight up told Jack White that he is not going to support Jay Z making anymore money. That's the point. X Box had a terrible roll ut, did it really have 2 straight months of EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE letting you know how offended they were about the press conference? There were like 6 people legit outraged and people are acting like they spit on babies. Give me a fukking break. To top it off, everyone keeps harping on the 20 dollar model when Jay Z himself told you not to cop that shyt unless you have the equipment for it. Like come on breh. This is like @Walt who is no Jay Z admirer was sitting back amazed at the straight up smear campaign Boras and co were running to get Roc Nation out of sports. Now people care about the character of agents when we applauded slimy dudes getting that bread in that field for decades?

You dudes need to step outside of the coli which is in no way ever reflective of what is actually going on.

This shyt happens EVERYDAY B in business/politics, presidential candidates and others running for positions spend millions of dollars in smear campaign commercials and ads etc. it happens in business all the time as well but only reason why yall notice now because it's Jay z' s business :mjlol:. He is a competitor. let a new discount retail/department store chain pop up tryna eat and see if Wal Mart plays fair :mjlol:
This is true, but what's amazing is dudes acting like the smear is not happening because they hate Hov :dead:

haha you stans are in real denial

so it wasn;t the shytty business model huh?

It was all on the CACs :mjlol:
I thought flashing images of some of the richest personalities in music in an ad that showcased none of the products actual abilities would attract millions of excited consumers, where did Jay go wrong :lupe:

Some of this hate feels manufactured.

Wtf are you talking about?

Are you being dense intentionally? Nas was Jay competition and Jay smashed his bm and dropped Takeover. That's how he handled it. I don't think it was wrong, alls fair :manny:. Grimey shyt happens in business as well, a "smear" campaign ran against Jay isn't some new thing it's business, why cry about it. Drop that takeover on your competitors

I dont know how much they are making, neither do you. I just used your numbers to illustrate how dumb your conclusion was. The subscription fees are $10+ a month, 770k subscribers ->revenue is at least $7.7mn a month x 12 = at least $87mn per annum

For the rest, i quote you:

lol, who was talking about per month numbers? they have 770K subscribers TOTAL. those aren't monthly numbers stan

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Yall black people need to wake up and realize this shyt bigger than Jay dumb fukkas

It really isn't, he's charging more for an inferior product without a free version, and ontop of that he's trying to shame people into buying the shyt.

If tomorrow Tidal came out with a free version and a $8.99 a month offer for their high quality streaming people would be signing up in mass. You can't go against an established service that's cheaper & free, it makes no fukking sense. The people who pay for Spotify have no real reason to switch because the cost incentive isn't there, and the people who would try it out for free aren't there because there is no free version.

To be fair the company just started. You never know how things will turn out. So much shyt I never thought would be big, and has changed the game. I won't count Tidal out. Its not like there aren't people who are willing to pay for it. 770k is a lot of people for a new company, considering there are other out there who do the same thing, at their core.

The money spent to hate on Jay is crazy but not new. I seen the mainstream media do this all the time with hip hop going back to the 80's. They dis anything associated with it, then they start imitating years down the line, only to act like the shyt is new, and innovative. Them nikkas are a joke, I don't take them serious. Its all talk, nothing else.

"Sprint, and its parent company Softbank, have reportedly invested in Aspiro, and own a minority stake in the company."

"It looks like Jay Z's star power has paid off, as Aspiro is reportedly valued at around $250 million. The New York Post also says that Tidal has gained 100,000 paying subscribers since the New York press conference. It had just 35,000 subscribers before the Jay Z acquisition.

Sprint is partnering with Tidal to bring the streaming services to phones using the network. It sounds like Sprint is going to bundle a Tidal subscription in with the cost of a phone contract, as a Sprint employee said there are "specials" on the way."

Jay doing his thing:leostare:

NOPE

#TidaLost currently has 770K subscribers. at $10-$20 a pop, that 7.7M-15M in revenue. 60% of that is going to the artists...we're not even talking about profits here. just revenue. He paid 52 mil...his profits are under 5 mil right now...

he's definitely in the red so far, that's why ol' boy releasing concerts and shyt
Lemme see its growth rate. You can't just throw out arbitrary numbers because with $15m monthly revenue...I can certainly see an equity valuation upwards of $100M considering how young the company is
