Gee whiz brah did u really have to resort to calling me a "stupid fuller"? Take it easy....anyway I'm well aware that they are mining my data, i work for an affiliate network and i know firsthand it's virtually impossible to escape...do you use Facebook? Twitter? IG? Pandora? Spotify? Have u ever opted into anything on the Internet ever? Get off your high horse buddy...and no, I will never pay for a streaming service, especially a wack one like Tidal when I can use spotify for free.
Nikkaz brag they won't pay for music but they're up in Starbucks paying $6 for a frappucino. I'd rather have an awesome on demand high quality music library than two Starbucks drinks. Every man has their value system though. My apologies for the forceful language.

Can you download music on Spotify for free so you're not using your 4G data? I have Beats with 10gigs of high quality music offline. I've had the free Spotify and I'm a real music lover so I need the premium quality sound. It's like going from cassette to CD sound wise. Nobody can be mad you don't wanna pay. I hate the radio and hate ads. Now, those months that I don't listen to music because I'm busy I feel like I threw away ten bucks.
My cell bill is 80/month
My cable bill is 160/month
My gym membership 40/month
My music bill 10/month
My Starbucks bill is 30/month

black love, unity, and music
Smartenup. Beats Streaming one stop shop.
Continue streaming music and you'll see nothing but garbage musicians in the near future. I firmly believe in financially rewarding a musician for creating a good product. Streaming is a detriment for the finances of artists everywhere.

I can't stand Jay, but no black person should be rooting for a black person's business to fail unless it's directly harming the black community.

Black entrenpeurship, black economics, and black support of the two is CRUCIAL for our progression in a world that's fiercely loyal to white supremacy.

So let's not take too much glee in wanting Jay-Z to fail when these cacs who own spotify and pandora in all likelihood are white supremacists who see us as nothing but animals: cash cows, race horses, and savage pit bulls.

black people own stock in apple and google be it through a broker, mutual fund, or pension. Tidal isn't publicly traded....doesn't help black people as it is not in the portfolios.

anyways it's competition...jay don't get a pass cause he's black. he can get rooted against for tidal just like people hope iphone fails or androids fail.

People keep harping on "Worst thing in music history" because it's obviously
hyperbolic bullshyt which isn't even remotely close to accurate.

There is no mention of the record label model taking a massive blow and several
majors closing shop, just 40 years ago there were several, now we've only got 3.
The power of clearl channel and how they dictate radio.
The value of music essentially dropping to zero with the coming of Napster and the continued
devaluation through p2p file sharing and the rise of torrents and file sharing sites.
Nor the various tragedies in the industry for instance what about Marvin Gaye ? John Lennon ? Bob Marley ?
Frankie Lymon ? Tupac ? Biggie ? Kurt Cobain ? Sid and Nancy ? And so many more ?

With that said I think they have a pretty competitive platform.
:yeshrug:
People already watch tons of artist generated content on youtube and they've provoen that they'll gladly
stream concerts and albums as well.
Hopsin for example managed to conjure up 14 million views for one of his last videos. Imagine if he was on a service that paid
out more handsomely than youtube does (he's independent so he'd eat considerably well off of it.)

When you put all of this under one roof instead of splitting it between different platforms TicketMaster/Youtube/Spotify
you've got a place for the fan to have what is essentially a "One stop shop".
On top of that he's giving all of this for just $10, think about that, nowadays people will pay $200 and up
to see their favorite artists in concert.

But if they can listen to that album, get discount tickets or a live stream AND exclusive content ? That's DOPE.
Spotify simply doesn't offer that, I mean if we're looking at Tidal and their plans to roll out more over time there's
just no comparison.
And since you pointed out that no one is defending "Tidal", did you notice none of these things were mentioned
in the article in question ?

These hit piece articles don't mention that because the point of the article is to slander Tidal and Jay-Z and put
him in the light of a "Snake" or a "Guy who just wants more money". The sort of stuff that the CEO of apple
or Google will never hear despite them holding positions in companies worth more than Jay-Z several times over.

apple and google are publicly traded which helps the average person get money...and apple is good about returning money to shareholders.

TIDAL is a private company....average person can't invest in it.

So you would rather these white executives go get Steve Stoute to get JayZ to promote their shyt? Cut out the middle man. Nikkaz don't root against Nike to fail, nikkaz wait in line for hours to buy some overpriced bullshyt some Chinese kid put together. You don't have to buy Jay's service but actively rooting for it to fail is absolute c00n behavior. Russell Simmons came out with Phat Farm clothing line, which sparked Sean John to go to new levels. Even if Tidal fails, hopefully it will spark other black tech entrepreneurs. Whites have always utterly discounted the purchase power of blacks. And a lot of blacks utterly discount themselves when they think the path to success is to stay far away from your people.
Obama did not have black support at first. Black people were for Hillary. They thought it was cute that Obama was running and purely symbolic and not realistic. When Obama started to look very viable black people ran to kiss his feet.

reminds me of the mayweather hate.... funny how all the articles brought up he was a wife beater and how he shouldnt be supported but the likes of Sean Penn get a pass and no one calls for a boycott of his films ......

same people that buy an Applemac that costs five times as much as a PC for essentially doing the same thing and at the same time calling Steve Jobs a genius are the same people that are slamming TIDAL because it costs more than spotify....

you couldnt make this shyt up.... and the fact that people cant see it is a damn shame

Nothing more pathetic than a racist white person pretending to be black on a forum that deals with African American music..... yall hate us but you cant seem to get over your obsession with us and just leave us alone

I dont see black people joining country music forums pretending to be white

iphones made him genius....it's worth a premium even though i buy mine used from amazon. android including the galaxy s3 is a crash fest and apps are still low quality in a lot of cases. android is getting better, but once i switched to the iphone i enjoyed using my phone and put down the laptop.

There's never been less of a barrier to the music industry than there is today. There's enough revenue generated to go around for artists, unless they negotiate shyt deals with labels. Indy artists haven't been in a better position to cast a wide net utilizing the technology

It's jays own fault he played up the rich ceo role too much. Nobody is going to listen to him talk about the artist when dude is seen as corporate to people.

that doesn't matter, all ceos play the rich ceo role cause they are rich ceos in most cases....and buying any product is gonna make the people that make that money, but you rarely see that being used as a reason not to buy something....you don't see people say 'don't buy nikes cause phil's rich'.....it just seems strange that this is the only way they are attacking tidal and jay....they barely mention anything about the service itself, it's always about the money it's making, costing, etc....
