So you would rather these white executives go get Steve Stoute to get JayZ to promote their shyt? Cut out the middle man. Nikkaz don't root against Nike to fail, nikkaz wait in line for hours to buy some overpriced bullshyt some Chinese kid put together. You don't have to buy Jay's service but actively rooting for it to fail is absolute c00n behavior. Russell Simmons came out with Phat Farm clothing line, which sparked Sean John to go to new levels. Even if Tidal fails, hopefully it will spark other black tech entrepreneurs. Whites have always utterly discounted the purchase power of blacks. And a lot of blacks utterly discount themselves when they think the path to success is to stay far away from your people.
Obama did not have black support at first. Black people were for Hillary. They thought it was cute that Obama was running and purely symbolic and not realistic. When Obama started to look very viable black people ran to kiss his feet.

"what you eat don't make me sh!t" -- jay- z--- but i can invest in $aapl and $goog and eat with/off them. Tidal ain't in peoples 401k and i doubt they will go public anytime soon, lol.

and people only want to see jay-z fail because of the way he carries himself and he thinks he can swag is way into a field dominated by "nerds". what type of coding can jay-z do? what is his tech background in which he earned stripes? i feel people would be more receptive and stick with the "black kid" in general if it was a black kid that created an app with a laptop in the projects or in his mamas basement that had some technical knowledge. granted it's music, but a music app by jay-z doesn't seem authentic enough as him being a tech guy and he seems like a celebrity face instead of grassroot creating/re-creating something imo. his image is wrong to a degree and his initial promotion of a-list music people didn't help.

and obama proved viable in 2004 when they were talking about his speeches....just figured he needed more experience and 2016 would be his yr, turns out it we had them backwards, lol. everyone seems like a sacrificial lamb for Hilary as far and democrats can only put out Martin O'malley to go against her, but he's responsible for the police being idiots in b-more when he was mayor and ran private business out of Maryland as governor we had to put in a republican.

its been a month :yeshrug:

people have been saying that the regular option sounds better than spotify premium. hopefully their catalog gets bigger and they sort out whatever bandwidth issues people were complaining about, of course in that cnet article he was using an android so maybe that platform isn't a priority because tidal doesn't have a free option.

but anyways a month isn't really enough time to judge what is essentially a brand new service.

I didn't know Spotify had full albums for free until Jay and Taylor swift told me about it, lol. I always thought it was random just like pandora cause I tried it 2011 and I used it like pandora and didn't like it.

NOPE

#TidaLost currently has 770K subscribers. at $10-$20 a pop, that 7.7M-15M in revenue. 60% of that is going to the artists...we're not even talking about profits here. just revenue. He paid 52 mil...his profits are under 5 mil right now...

he's definitely in the red so far, that's why ol' boy releasing concerts and shyt
I know it's been said by now, but you do understand valuations aren't based on current revenue, and definitely not profit

When I heard Jay bought Aspiro I thought "wow that could be a great long term investment for Jay, good job"

I didn't think he was gonna try and take a niche service and compete the the biggest streaming companies in the world. That was retarded as fukkkkkkkkkkkkk.
I've been on lossless music, .flac .ogg .wav all the BS, but most people do not give a single fukk about lossless music, hell most people don't even care if their MP3s are 320kbps

Most people can't tell the difference between lossless and your run of the mill MP3, but Jay thought he was gonna convince people to pay more to listen to music because he told them it sounds better?

Race and the dislike of rappers definitely plays a part in the way the media is covering this situation, but Jay-Z completely mishandled the situation like an idiot. I can help but think Jay is a Stringer Bell, hood nikka that thinks he's smarter than he actually is until he steps in pool with the real sharks and realizes he can't swim with them.

Bro, Tidal offers something more than Spotify, if you're not willing to pay a little more for that then fine. Tidal is a business, not a charity. Some people think you're stupid for paying $10/month to Spotify.

You can't go public in one month bro. I swear, you nikkaz are funny.

Fam, I'm the farthest thing from a Jay fan. I grew up despising Jay as an artist but I thing that's for damn sure is you don't underestimate Jay on a business level. It's unprecedented that a rapper launch a sports management company but Roc Sports is doing well. Correct me if I'm wrong. Yes, it's true, Jay gonna have to come down on the price or offer more incentives at that price. And people need to stop sucking Spotify dikk, Rhapsody really started this shyt

Bro, every company takes years to go public. Tidal just was released. Google and Apple were private for like a decade. However, even though it's not publicly traded you can still make an offer for a percentage of ownership. You just need a few million. 50 cent bought ownership of vitamin water, at the time it was a closed corporation
