It's the new version of the album press & trucks to deliver albums to Best Buy. Tidal doesn't have the album until Universal uploads it and then it's automatically available. Why in the hell would Tidal workers have the album to upload? Digital releases are timed & released automatically by the distributors.
Once the labels determine a release date, the distributors input that date into the computers and the music is automatically released. Universal messed up the date input and it released the album to Tidal a day early. It's the same way Universal messed up and uploaded Kendrick's album a week early onto iTunes.
