So David Robinson, Rasho Nesterovic, Nazr Muhammad, Fabricio Oberto, and Tiago Splitter are PFs? :ohhh:

:stopitslime: Duncan has been both a C and a PF, but he's been a PF most of his career. He was a PF from 98-07. He was a C from 08-11.

The last 2 years, him and Splitter are pretty much interchangeable at C and PF. Basically Splitter is the C on offense and Duncan is the C on defense.

That cowboy Curtis child molester is just mad because he knows no one will rank him ahead of Duncan all time.

Shaq was a great defender when he wanted to be.

great. Duncan was a great defender all the time.

I don't think he was GREAT but he's certainly better than solid.

Duncan has only once cracked the top five in PPG during his career. He's a very good playmaker, but obviously not one of the best.

when I think of GREAT offensive players I think of guys like Shaq, Kobe, T-Mac, Nash, Kidd, and Dirk.

Duncan much more than Solid, but I wont go as far as to say he's GREAT.

I dont know what this means. I said Duncan is a GREAT offensive player. He is. He was a 20 a game scorer, cleaned up on the offensive boards, and had a 15 foot jump shot to go with his post moves.

And on top of that, when the Spurs needed those baskets, he got them. Thats what great offensive players do.

That doesn't mean he isn't one of the greatest players in the history of the league.
and if he not putting Jordan in his starting 5, then I should care even less

its the truth. I dont care what this bitter old cornball brother has to say about anything in life.

dude shut up :heh:

Rodman was 6'7" and 215 lbs and was guarding point guards and guys much bigger than him. Barkley gave NO effort on defense and was proud about that.

He could have been a decent defender too considering his athleticism, long ass arms, and strength but chose not too. Stop :cape:ing.

Barkley is 6'4 tops, which makes what he did in the NBA even more crazy...

When you have no offensive game, like a Rodman, you can specialize and put all of your energy in playing D, which he was a beast at....

I see a lot of you nikkas in here who argued so heavily that Duncan is a better Power Forward than KG suddenly saying "DUNCAN WAS ALWAYS A CENTER"

You nikkas is weird man.

If Duncan is a center then the best PFs are Malone, Garnett, Barkley and Dirk.

No he's not GREAT.

He's very good, He's consistent, he's clutch, but he's not a GREAT offensive player. Dudes throw the word "Great" around way too much.

Like I said, Shaq, Kobe, Dirk, Nash, and Kidd are GREAT offensive players. Those guys are clearly on another level offensively. Duncan is on that tier just below them.

Duncan is a GREAT defensive player, he's GREAT all around player, but I've never seen him as GREAT offensive player, especially when compared to the best offensive players in the league.

And on top of that, when the Spurs needed those baskets, he got them. Thats what great offensive players do.

The same could have been said about Pau Gasol too, but I'd wouldn't say he was a GREAT offensive player either.

But yo - if you put Timmy as a 5 (which you should), the greatest PFs are (in no order):

Karl Malone
Moses Malone
Barkley
McHale
