Yup. keeping an 11 hour or so calming music video on mute does the trick. The key is to keep it as your main screen. I’m generally in front of my computer but there are times I’ve dipped out for few to run an errand and it helps

OP getting a usb mouse jiggler is way better than downloading software. A man just got fired because his IT department found the software. Less drama

I can't download unapproved software on this GFE, but when I need to step away from the computer I just open notepad with Teams right behind it, and set something heavy down on the 0 on the keypad. Works every time.

It's rare though. Most of the time I just go away if I really need to step away.

Options 1 or 4 is begging to be fired, your IT can figure those out quickly. I wouldn't do 3 either. The PowerPoint one is interesting.

My boss doesn't micromanage but he does check in from to time. Even if he calls me when I'm away and I hit him back 1hr later, he never questions me because I get work done.
