Only the second time I order an mma ppv, and its a snore. Diaz did all that yapping and barely threw punches while standing up. Very disappointing fight.

I agree, at the same time you have to time your jabs you can't just swing or GSP will double leg take down then dry hump your booty hole for half a round. It's a double edge sword. You wanna slap the shyt out of him, but you know once you swing that nikkas shooting for the legs.

I think Hendricks has his number. They fight exactly the same except Hendricks has HUGE punching power. NO way is GSP out wrestling an Oklahoma All American wrestler. He's going to go the Koscheck route and keep the distance, thing is Hendricks closes that shyt and lands each and every time. GSPs chin is semi weak. He avoids getting into dangerous scraps for a reason.

I think Nick should have stepped it up in the 4th tho, that pissed me off.

This is funny. This sounds like the kind of criticism Floyd Mayweather gets for winning decisions. They're master technicians who go in there and do what it takes to win. And at the end of the day...

Daps x 1 million.....the same niccas in here complaining about GSP would probably be the first one defending Floyd when people call him boring. Hell look at the critiques and defenders...they're the exact same. He doesn't knock people out, he's very technical, he avoids contact. Defenders say you have to appreciate his technique and understand the sport :russ: I better not see any of the niccas in here shytting on GSP in the next Floyd thread hyping up his next UD  .For the record I respect both fighters....you do what you have to to win :yeshrug:

LOL @ comparing FLoyd and GSP when the GLARING difference is that even in Floyd's most boring fights, HE STILL IS PUNCHING! And I get that it's the nature of the beast that is MMA, but GSP will literally lay on dudes for a whole round.

Hendricks fights nothing like GSP. He is a lunging one shot power puncher who is not very technical and doesn't set up his strikes at all. GSP will shoot every time and Hendricks is not good off his back. Plus hendricks has suspect cardio and has poor striking defense. I don't see him faring any better outside a huge power shot

I feel bad for people that pay for gsp, if u have ever seen him fight dont be surprised when its the same thing again...now if u payed to see diaz knock him out, then be pissed...but if you are a "fan" of gsp, and dont like the way hes been winning, y r u still a fan?

Also, i have a hard time believing hes a bigger draw than silva, but i suppose it could be true :manny:

:snoop:

boxing is different. MMA uses more tactics for offense and defense. Boxing does not.

U really saying Floyd is not an offensive fighter ? :snoop:

I think he's saying Floyd hasn't finished anyone or even knocked anyone down (besides Ortiz, and that really doesn't count) since Hatton in 2007, and yet he's still the PPV king of boxing. So why are people paying to watch him?

I don't really get what people want from him. I kept hearing people complain about how he just takes guys to the ground. And? That is a huge part of MMA. It's not like he just takes the guy to the ground, lays on top of him, and waits for the ref to restart just so he could do it over and over again. He puts people on the ground, works with strikes, tries to find better position, and goes to work. It's not like his opponents are just laying there either. They want to get up. They try to get up. But they CANT because he is that good and that methodical. I don't understand how UFC is the only sport on the planet where people will complain that someone is good at something and uses that to their advantage:yeshrug:

me and my boys actually left during the 3rd round, first time we ever did that shyt. My prob with gsp is that when he gets a take down he doesnt to anything. He not trying to get submissions or doing the whole ground and pound thing "pause". He basically lays on dude and scores points :scusthov:
- For the guys that love the technical aspect of his fights and study his video tapes to learn different techniques i'm sure his fights are awesome, but for the avg fan his joints are pure :snooze: def the last time i watch any of his fights

People complain because he clearly has a dominant skillset but only uses it to neutralize his opponents and does just enough to outscore them. He preys on his opponents weaknesses and leaves it at that. If an opponent is weak on standup he'll 1-2 them all night long without turning it up and going for the knockout. If an opponent has a weak takedown defense he'll easily take them down and do enough maneuvering to stay on top withoutreally damaging them.

GSP is probably the most unbeatable opponent in MMA due to his lack of risk taking. But I think people want to see him take the Jon Jones route and use his physical skills to attack and truly destroy opponents. Not simply outscoring them.
