Hendricks fights nothing like GSP. He is a lunging one shot power puncher who is not very technical and doesn't set up his strikes at all. GSP will shoot every time and Hendricks is not good off his back. Plus hendricks has suspect cardio and has poor striking defense. I don't see him faring any better outside a huge power shot

I dont think GSP wants to shoot on an all american wrestler. He'll get snuffed or mangled on the ground.

my point exactly. he kept it standing against Koscheck. The difference is Hendricks is the hardest hitting WW. GSPs chin is going to scream that night.

Nobody knows, but it's obv wishful thinking on my part. I can't think of anyone else to top gsp and I for damn sure am hoping someone does it soon, because I've just about had it with the lay'n'pray. Take a look at all the UFC champs, he's the most boring, yet UFC push him the hardest. He has the least finishes. :what:

UFC pushes him the hardest because more people pay to see him than any other fighter. Early reports is that this PPV did Sonnen-Silva numbers.

Kos wings punches as well, it could be a similar fight. Big Rig ain't moving his head much so it could be jab city.

If GSP fought this way when he started, no fukking way he'd be as popular as he is now. Fans watch, hoping the pre-Serra GSP shows up, but just look the other way as long as he gets the W.

canadians pay. :manny: they have a big ppv culture since streams are regulated heavy by cable (who in turn are regulated heavy by the govt)

his last 5 fights were in canada too. UFC arent idiots.

The point is, people ARE paying, both to see him live and on pay-per-view. He sold out a 55,000 seat arena, which is probably something no other fighter could do. He also sold out the Prudential Center in Newark when eh fought Dan Hardy.

Meanwhile, 2 of Silva's last 3 fights have been in Brazil. The PPV numbers and gates from those shows aren't nearly as high as GSP's.

I wasn't disagreeing with your point, I was agreeing with it and justifying it.

This is funny. This sounds like the kind of criticism Floyd Mayweather gets for winning decisions. They're master technicians who go in there and do what it takes to win. And at the end of the day...

floyd's fights may be one sided
but they are far far from boring

watching gsp is a waste of time

That's fine but he should stop lying about trying to finish people.

I think he's saying Floyd hasn't finished anyone or even knocked anyone down (besides Ortiz, and that really doesn't count) since Hatton in 2007, and yet he's still the PPV king of boxing. So why are people paying to watch him?

because his fights are entertaining

cotto, mosley, ortiz marquez de la hoya etc

i know u aint comparing that to the cat fight i saw on saturday
