Why the hell are you mad for? They do equate in the sense that both of them have fighting styles that results in an avoidance of damage to their craniums, I don't see how you can argue that.

Terrible argument because nobody is asking GSP to stand there are take punches. If anything when he has such an advantage on the ground through positioning finish it.

And to whoever said that Americans are mad don't be :troll: half the thread is showing live to Anderson from Brazil.

C'mon now. Anderson is black excellence. That means more in the Coli than being American.

Hendricks looked good against Condit but he couldn't hold him down for any length of time and he looked pretty gassed by the third. GSP on the other hand was able to stay on top of Condit for a considerable amount of time when they fought. I feel like with GSP on top Hendricks will gas quicker than he did against Condit leading to another dominant performance by the champ.

Of course there's always the chance GSP gets caught with one of Hendricks big shots and she's lights out but I really don't see it happening. Sure Hendricks has been on a hot streak and throws heavy same could have been said for Thiago Alves who had 7 straight wins, 5 by KO or TKO leading up to his title shot where he was dominated.

Why do you look at wrestling as a "security blanket" and not what it actually is: a form of martial arts. You're treating wrestling as if it's inferior to boxing. It may not be as fun to watch, but it's not inferior.

I told you why, because in MMA the judging is skewed towards wrestling. thats why you commonly see wrestlers go for takedowns within the last 30 seconds or so to try and steal the round. the condit-hendricks fight was a perfect example of it being used as a security blanket. hendricks takes condit down multiple times (mostly at the ends of rounds) does absolutely NOTHING with them, infact condit was a lot busier on the ground, tagging him with shots from the bottom. in the third round when hendricks gassed and condit was owning the stand up, he shot again for desperate takedowns, got condit down, and laid on him praying the round wound end. "easy" unanimous decision for hendricks

wrestling in and of itself is a martial art, but in MMA more times than not, its used as a security blanket. george is no exception to this
