Hire a defensive coach with a raw second year qb, what could go wrong ?
Its not apples to apples but the Patriots are about to be in the Super Bowl with an arrangement cut from that cloth.

I have to assume whether it's McDaniel, Slowik, one of the Kubiak's, etc that Saleh has a distinct vision and plan for who he wants overseeing Ward's development just like Vrabel did with Maye.

Idk where he plays in nfl, im not convinced he can be a down lineman.
He can play anywhere. Go watch his tape. Dude has DE strength, runs like a safety and has exceptional instincts and spacial awareness.

My only question is, does he love football? Can't tell that till interviews

I like Saleh a lot but this is a bad hire. Ward had a disaster at head coach in his rookie year, now you give him a defensive coach in year two? Even if Saleh has a clear plan for a good OC you're just gonna be on that treadmill where good (white) OCs get poached to become head coaches after 1-2 years.
That's why he needs to hire Leftwich :troll:
