Not disputing anything TMZ reported, since I don't care to check Tyrese's pockets. But I find it fascinating how obsessed TMZ is with black celebrities. Whether it's an athlete or actor, a musician or even just some thot dating one of the three, TMZ always loves to shine a light on black celebrity hardship. fukk the jew who runs it, and fukk the crop of giggling c00ns who sit there and participate in that shyt every afternoon.

I think a large part of this is black people particularly black males are easy targets. We have no powerful systems, or social capital to protect us when non-blacks and in some cases blacks do this. Don't throw numbers at me without context. How many units did he sell first week? Can he command 50k or is he taking home 50k after taxes, managers, road manager, stage expenses, backup singers are all paid?

I'm not following what you're getting at. The kid is still young. He's on the hook for like 10 more years I would imagine. He's going to have to do a lot of singing b. I'm speaking in terms of the man's Hollywood career. Tinseltown has no problem sending a black man to the abyss for whatever reason. (Isaiah Washington, Columbus Short, The Cos etc) you get too nutty or free ain't no comebacks. You ever stopped to consider one of the biggest current draws in Hollywood he's been beefing with hasn't said much in the public in response to Tyrese but may be making phone calls behind the scenes? Movies is his bread & butter nowadays...not singing

I think people are overestimating these checks he's getting from F&F and Transformers. Those were one time lump sum checks and that $885K is what's left of it. Residual checks decrease in value as the movie gets older and he didn't have any producing credits so I doubt he could live off those at his current lifestyle requirements. Reason why he was crying about Rock pushing F9 off a year was because he was solely depending on that check to replenish that $885K thus continuing his lavish lifestyle until F10. Pushing it off a year messed up his whole plan of coasting between Furious sequels. In regards to touring, who is Tyrese getting to sponsor it? I doubt its that easy to go on tour without getting someone to pony up for the band, backup singers, stage setup, etc. Then once that is figured out, is Tyrese really someone that people would need to go see live? Even Chris Brown was having issues selling tickets and he's still somewhat relevant (hits on radio). I doubt outside of the top 10 cities, he would get any real buzz unless he hooked up with one of these super tours with the likes of Bell Biv Devoe, SWV, etc.
