Basically what is happening now. To spin off the assets and hoping there is a buy for one or both. I do think someone will want HBO/Streaming Service/Studios. As for the cable networks, I don’t think anybody wants to invest in cable anymore and the streamers don’t need it essentially.

Gonna be interesting to see whoever buys WB and/or Discovery Global how sports will be affected. I didn’t think the Inside the NBA/ESPN deal would be long term anyway considering Ernie is mostly likely the 1st to retire. But whoever gets it, I can’t see them keeping that licensing deal in tact.

Typical debt package play. He was there to significantly cut costs, acquire cheap assets (massive increase in reality TV programming), sell off liabilities, and then polish the most attractive package for someone to purchase. And he did it. Dude is a piece of shyt who literally hates art but it was never about quality or running things well. The minute he walked in the door pushing creatives out and altering show budgets I knew it was over.

The length of the current deal, but there is an out if any of the guys retire or leave. But I can’t see Paramount, Netflix, or Comcast agreeing to continue the agreement if they get control of the Discovery Global assets.
