now that we got kids ourselves....i'm realizing how GREAT we had it and how shytty our kids are gettin it....the first time I heard they cut after school programs and learning manuscript I was pissed....
every other day its another budget related cut into this generations education....we may have been from the crack era walkin over glass viles and junkies on the street...but our schools loved us....

They need to really reconsider their method because a move like this will ironically lead to more exclusion since these same kids in this district will not be able to apply to the better schools

I think the Finnish don’t do grades at all… and plus they start going to school at 7 years old and finish at 16 I think…
this "equity" shyt is an excuse. its about money

In theory, you shouldn’t need an AP class to perform at an AP level, but the American public school system make moves with Ill intentions. Your hypothetical scenario could be very plausible if this happens

Some people see education as a chore. One they avoid as much as they can and one that does not please them during the process.
Some people are interested in learning. Some people enjoy learning.
Let us please allow for the kids who treat school like jail to be in one location and the kids who truly want to learn as much as they can in another location.
You wouldn't take all the people out of the theater for a romantic comedy and force them to watch a brutal horror movie.
Let these kids over here do their thing and let the others do what they like too.

At this point, I believe that is the tactic they are using. It's ridiculous. There are more common sense ways to increase student involvement and achievement than hobbling high performing students.

I'd want my child to take AP and Honors, this is just some slick, passive aggressive shyt that's only going to discourage the Black kids who DO want to learn "advanced" topics early on
