Rap Guerilla
To be honest, I don't care if they move all the riff raff out to the south suburbs. They will be away from me and my fam and not have easy access to the city without a car.
I live on MLK. Right off MacArthur exit within a block of Kaiser. I work in Piedmont too. Fam, all I see is crackers and Asians. They hate that I live here too. Koreans Vietnamese Chinese and Crackers are pushing blacks out of Oakland. My rent is the mortgage of a duplex in New Orleans. Lol I could fukking own a duplex for the rent I'm paying. This cracker accused me of stealing his girl's shoes. Lol I did. But fukk him he threw away my Timbs! He couldn't prove it.What part of the west you in? I'm from lower bottom. That shyt turning white as mc donalds butter![]()
I may be moving to Cali where they're done with the gentrification. This sh!t is a bit disheartening to watch.2 Bedrooms In Cabrini-Green's New High Rise Start At $3,200 A Month

Ten years ago, Cabrini-Green was best known for its notoriously struggling public housing project of the same name. Today, it's becoming something of a goldmine for developers who have planned new, luxury high rises for the Near North Side area not far from where the dilapidated public housing towers once stood.
One of the first new developments to spring up from around Cabrini-Green's demolition rubble is Xavier, a sleek, 18-story, eco-friendly building, which is now accepting tenant applications at sky-high rental prices. Studios in the 625 W. Division St. tower start at $1,825 a month, according to listings; one bedrooms start at $2,300, and two bedrooms start at $3,275.
The units boast such amenities as Nest Thermostats, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and exposed concrete ceilings. The building's shared spaces include a rooftop with a chef's kitchen and two dog runs. It sounds divine—if you have the income for it.
With Chicago in the midst of a housing crisis we can't help but see the promises of these luxury developments coinciding with the displacement of Chicago's working class and the hastening demise of its affordability for anyone making less than $72,000 a year (that's how much you'd have to make to reasonably afford a studio apartment at $1,825 a month, based on this popular rental formula).
lotta people from the rockwells and gabrini moved to dolton.
my aunt stays out there
its so damn ratchet
Cabrini Green was the fukkin hood, but it wasnt IN the hood. it wasnt a matter of if, but when they were gonna gentrify it.
They tore down the high rises but the original frances buildings are still up. So these high class, hipster buildings gonna be RIGHT by these nikkas

Thing is if our community had investment money we could buy those buildings and make them work for us. Sadly our community has no generational wealth to use to take advantage of it. I wish I knew this when I was 18. It's very frustrating to be so far behind everyone else.My hood my block, nah nikkaz own nothing
Cities would rather tear down these old building and projects sell the land for millions to a developer and take in the property taxes
Yeah but most of those are boarded up and they r gonna tear them down as well. Not too many people living there anymore.
Yeah, i dont blame you, especially with you havin' a family. You dont want them around a bunch of bullshyt. To be honest, I don't care if they move all the riff raff out to the south suburbs. They will be away from me and my fam and not have easy access to the city without a car.
This. This is called exploiting a situation to your benefit. Everything is an opportunity. Lol you sure you're Carribean? You hustle like a main land American. It's all about the flip game in business I think.Guess we gotta get our money up and gentrification wont be a problem.
Like i mentioned in the other thread i bought a house in an area thats being "gentrified" in the East Atlanta area. My goal is to eventually rent it to these white so-called "hipsters" that seem to love the area. Right now it's beginning to be mostly white but the schools are still bad. THe minute the schools improve im cashing in on that b!tch. As we speak my house, tho an older house, is 4 bedrooms 2 baths with a built-in deck in the back with a huge yard. Ive seen comparable houses with 3 bdrs and 1.5 baths renting for $540 more than im paying in mortgage (including taxes and insurance)
