Exactly who would be the shyt behind that Falcons offensive line. The offensive line ranked 31st in the league.

Yall need to chill out with the "if you arent Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers you aint shyt" sentiment.

He's getting paid like them though (more than Brady actually). nikkas stay pulling out the "everybody can't be so and so card" when nikkas are getting paid like and thusly expected to have the same impact as so and so. Maybe if they weren't devoting so much money to him they could field a better o-line. They have already gone to the ends of the earth to get him weapons on the outside (gonna be interesting when Julio's rookie deal is up). Falcons fans should be the main ones taking him to task.

Okay so first things first. The team could have afforded to pay a mid tier offensive lineman with Matt Ryan's salary last year, and keep John Abraham. Ownership chose not to and tried to save money. So Falcons fans are killing Dimitroff (our GM), as we rightly should be. The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos both outspent the Atlanta Falcons by 15 millions bucks. If we spent that on offensive linemen you dont think we would have seen improved results? We have so much damn dead money tied to our cap due to our GM its not even funny.

Second, so because he is getting paid a high salary all of a sudden he should be expected to do things no other QB in the history of the game could, which is win with the 2nd worst offensive line in the league? Did you watch the Super Bowl? Did you see what happened to Peyton Manning when his offensive line didnt hold up? Did you see Matt Ryan the previous 2 years when he had a "decent" offensive line? Go to the Falcons board now, you will see most fans think Matt Ryan is a good QB but not on Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady level. Is he overpaid? Yeah, but thats the way the QB market looks now, so you either pay him or someone else will.

Have you heard the things said about Manning following that SB? Have you heard the shyt said about him following any of his playoff L's following 10-14 win seasons every year? Can you imagine if Peyton was to go 4-12 one season? :dead: Regardless of what injuries occured or how bad the line played or how weak his arm now is, he would get KILLED for that shyt and rightfully so since he does command so much money and get so much credit. Rodgers O-line hasn't been the greatest and he NEVER had guy as good as Julio or Gonzalez for that matter and that defense hasn't been any good since they won in 2010 and the running game just came around this year yet Pack are in it every year, regardless. Same with Brady and Manning's teams. They aren't going 4-12 breh. A great QB, which is what you expect a guy you pay like Ryan to be, can get you to the playoffs consistently. They can't win it all on there own but they can get you there.

When Ryan had Julio what did he do? We went to the NFC Championship game. He was out for most of last year and Roddy was hurt as well.

You fooling yourself if you think any QB can get you into the playoffs with the 2nd worst offensive line in the league. Thinking otherwise proves you know nothing about football. A GM with half a brain wouldnt put their franchise QB behind some utter dogshyt and get him destroyed every game. Matt Ryan was one of the most hit qbs in the league last year, despite him not being a QB that holds onto the ball. He gets rid of the ball fast as hell.

You wanna talk about a running game? Where has ours been the past 2 seasons? Its amazing how as soon as we get rid of the linemen worth a damn, all of a sudden we cant run the ball anymore, and now we cant pass block either.

Manning went to the SB and got killed what's your point? Did you even read the post you quoted? :heh:

All I know is that Manning, Brady, and now Rodgers are in it EVERY year (unless they themselves are hurt). QBs get the big money and the credit. They also get the big pressure and the blame (except Brady and Favre). Am I to assume that if the Falcons break through and win a SB you are gonna be giving the majority of the credit to O-line and the recievers? :usure:/:comeon:

Manning and Brady have always had an offensive line that can keep them upright. Manning didnt have that Sunday and he looked like shyt.

Head to the Falcons board. We are all talking about offensive and defensive line. You know why, because we actually understand football and know you cant do anything if your trenches are among the worst in the league. Dont confuse me with those people who think you can neglect the lines and expect to win. Im not going to give the majority of the credit to anyone, thats what nikkas like to do here with football and basketball. I understand its a team game. The QB cant pass without someone blocking, the RB cant run without someone blocking, if the QB doesnt have time to pass then it doesnt matter who you have lining up at receiver. If you cant pressure the QB then your corners are gonna get burned even if you have Prime Time back there. Its all connected. So are we gonna talk football or are we still gonna pretend like QBs are winning games alone?

You didn't answer my question breh so I will repeat it. If the Falcons win a SB are you gonna give the lion's share of the credit to the o-line and recievers and all the other factors that go into winning that aren't the QB? I'm not asking you about right now. I am asking you about what you would do then.

See my previous edit. I answered your question there. Im an actual football fan, i can name the starting offensive line for our 1998 team that went to the Super Bowl. I can name the turnstiles that had Vick running for his life at every snap.

Two things I respect are consistency and thoroughness. If you are truly that thorough and consistent then more power to you. :salute:

To that point shouldn't you take issue with how much Ryan is making since after all it does take a whole team effort and having one guy making that much can be a hinderance to building a complete team?
