when I went to DC last summer, we stayed in arlington just over the river from DC. hotel was really nice, and so was the area. I liked it a lot out there. hell, I'd personally rather live there than in DC. especially given the difference in cost of living and it's proximity to the city.

Uhh yeah, because of silicon valley transplants.the entire bay area is expensive, not just silicon valley.
