Even then, this feels like propaganda on Complex’s part. Let’s say choice 1 or 2 is correct, why would they give it to Complex of all publications? CNN and The NY Times reported on this story, wouldn’t you want them to report on it?

assuming it's true (and i don't know shyt, I'm just talking shyt), they would want to pass it on to a publication who they can influence. Complex would want to suck up to them. So they already know of they pass it to a Complex, Complex's article will be favorable. Had theybpassed it off to CNN, they have the ressources and time to triple check everything, check with the other side, check with their own medical experts, etc. Meg's team wouldn't want more scrutiny, they just want a vague favorable story from a "legit" media company. So they threw Complex a bone and it's win-win from their perspective.

Again in just talking shyt. The medical records could very well be real and could very well be showing injuries from a firearm.
