I'm mad that Joey clearly ain't understand the performance aspect of battle rap. Mook was the definition of what battle rap should be tonight. It's theatrical rap. Daylyt showed the same thing although he kinda ain't really battle and had the wasted third round.
The fact that Joe watched rap battles and didn't understand how much performance matters and the pacing of everything is extremely disappointing.

How in the fukk do you spend all this time promoting an event via tv show, internet, and radio and don't even have the motherfukking mics on point? That's like going to an NBA playoff game and watching nikkas play with a deflated ball. Beyond unacceptable.
Joe Buddens was already one of the biggest doofuses in hip hop history, but this really cements him as a flat out disgrace. This lame nikka was rapping like he was recording a dis track over a beat, and he had so many basic ass, corny bars that it started getting kind of sad toward the end. Voice was straight horrid, stage presence was gay, he's gassin his own punch lines and yellin "stop my time" after ever fukking bar. Then he chastised the crowd for "booing the hard shyt." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Hollow was mediocre as fukk, so it's hard to give him a W, but Joey Burden damn sure took the L.
The battlers ain't even stick around at the end? Word? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Sway up there mispronouncing words and misusing "rebuttal" and making up bullshyt like "the championship round." nikka fukk you and your stupid ass hat.
Quite simply, without any question, the single worst battle event I have ever watched. No fluidity to it, crowd was terrible, battlers seemed either unprepared or just wack... Anyone who went or copped the PPV lost hard.
The biggest winner here? Smack.

That was the reason I ordered. It's great to have the live battle so the battlers can eat and it just adds to the experience with everybody watching at the same time. They just got to do this shyt in a more professional manner. For one they have got to schedule in some padding so that you don't end up at the end saying "we only got 10 minutes left". Especially since crowds can hijack shyt and cause shyt to run longer.

I gave Budden the first 2 rounds easily. His bars were just a LOT better. Only bar from Hollow that really impressed me was the 112/Jodeci one. Budden lost the 3rd round by default, by I still gave it to him 2-1. Not really sure how you could give Hollow either of the first two rounds, his bars stunk.
Ironically, everyone has been saying for a minute "no matter what happens, this is a win for battle rap", and it ended up being quite the opposite. There's so many people that tuned in for the first time and were like man wtf is this unorganized shyt.
Felt like one of my boys had convinced me to go play ball with him and we get to the court and there's no net, the ball is one of those Final 4 rubber ones they used to give you at Pizza Hut, we only got 7 dudes out there, and there's no out of bounds lines painted on the court.
