Why the decline? Because private equity happened.

Private equity said fukk the budget-friendly Vegas vacation of the 80s, 90s, 2000s and early 2010s. They cut costs on everything while simultaneously making everything 10x more expensive.

When all the juice is sucked out of the fruit, the private equity parasite will move on to its next victim and Vegas will be a decaying carcass of what it once was, similar to what happened to Atlantic City.
This. I'm not a broke boy by any means but I cannot justifying getting up charged like that. Rather go spend a quarter of the money and chill in San Diego.

I’m from Cali. We used to go there 3-4 times a year to chill in the 90’s.
:wow:
Vegas was CHEAP back then. Circus Circus was our spot.
:mjlol:
Buffets were cheap and kids ate free. Our parents would leave me and my cousins in the room while they ran around the city.
:russ:
Last time I was in Vegas was pre Covid. Stayed at the Lux for the low. My cousin had hook up for the lounge so we didn’t have to wait in any lines. Ate at emeralds, the girls saw a show and the fellas hit the tables. I hit a lick on the poker table.
:blessed:
I doubt I would go anymore unless a huge fight happens. To do Vegas proper for three nights must be crazy expensive.
:martin:
Is Canelo and Bud boxing in Vegas or the Middle East?
:whoo:

I stayed in a suite at the Wyndham Blue during Covid. I paid like $650 for three bedrooms and two baths. They even gave me the option not to have room service and that saved me like $150.

I tried to book the same shyt again it was like $1750 :gucci:

Even prior to Covid we wasn’t paying that much.

You could always go to Pechanga to get your gambling fix. About a hour from SD.
:jawalrus:
Pechangna expensive too and they got limits.

Sushi restaurant is ASS. Hotel rooms are 300+ on the weekends. Drinks are okay priced for nowadays but there's a last call :childplease:

Then you got Yamavaa and those Cherokee are trying to rape the white man back by charging for everything.

It's so a degenerate gambler can't even be himself these days. :mjcry:

Same. But I genuinely thought it was a fun family experience and I felt like I was having fun in the hotel. As a kid I was a little suspicious about why we never went to any of the amusement parks during our "family" Vegas trips but I thought my folks just forgot .

I swear I was a grown man planning my own adult trip to Vegas , as I realized that they basically just ditched me and my siblings in the hotel room to go play poker. :mjlol:

My wife and I went 2 years ago.

Two things that stood out it’s hot AF and expensive AF, okay place but I’d probably be fine if I never went back.

Youngsters don’t gamble in casinos like the old heads did either. The younger crowd rather play Parlay’s, Fanatics, FanDuel, and shyt like that where they can place bets right from an app on their phone.
