I don't like that shyt. These guys act like their doing manual labour when they're getting paid millions of dollars to ball out for fukking fun. They're in the entertainment business but act like it's a drag to go out their and perform. Clown shyt

Not only that, his team not even that good this season. They need the regular season to work out the kinks and build better cohesion on the floor before they get smashed in the playoffs

Just saying out loud what people say in roundabout ways all the time.

You always hear baseball players speak of "the dog days of summer" which is referring to exactly what Trae is talking about.

Even in the NBA you hear talk of mailing it in till the all star break.

Sounds like this is why it's always only a few teams that compete for titles. :yeshrug:

Kobe would slap Trae upside the head for this shyt.

Sure the regular season is boring, but it's part of the process to get your team to the Finals. It's all a part of training, understanding the limits of your team, understanding the limits of yourself.. and finding a way to overcome that when the playoffs come.

Trae thinks he can NBA 2k sim the calendar, and the Hawks will just click in the playoffs.

Doesn't work that way.

It also fukks up your career in the spotlight. Yeah Trae got his team to the Conf. Finals, so what? They are expected now to match and exceed, and not have these questions flying around if he was a fluke. Should the Hawks not make the playoffs this year, and next, then Trae won't be seen as the Alpha Dog on a Championship team, just the best player on a overrated team, and really a No. 2-3 on a Championship team.

It be a far, far viewpoint than what Trae wants to be seen as, the next Kobe. Sure the thought is laughable, but you got to have some arrogance... until the floor falls out from your feet and your peers start laughing at you instead of respecting you.
